We stayed for one night in one of the private rooms. Esther is a great hostess, very welcoming. Given the duration of our stay we took in the experience and played a range of games (cards, darts, foosball and we swam). The great attraction for us was the cost Kshs 4,000 for 2 for 1 night, the pool and bar...

Hands down, this has been one of my favorite trips and SC Backpackers and the staff made that happen. I felt right at home the moment I walked through the gate. The staff are hospitable, friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, food is good, and the rooms comfy. Whether...

This was my second trip to Diani and there is no better place on the coast than south coast backpackers. I love the place, the people, and the amazing wibe. The food is really cheep and there's something for everyone (eg I'm a vegan). Would recommend to anyone who wants either a relaxed vacation on the beach or a party...

I arrived with a nasty injury. I arrived at South Coast with a nasty injury and all of the staff went out of their way to help me. The facilities are, for want of a better word, perfect, and so are the staff.

This is honestly the best backpackers I have ever seen. I have already been to the place two years ago and already then I was absolutely happy about my experience. Very nice outside area with palms, pool, pool bar, beach volley field, etc. The dorms as well as the private rooms are nice and tidy with very clean bathrooms. The...

While the late night party center has settled around 40 thieves, South Coast Backpackers is the premier pregame, after party and hangover nursing spot for energetic backpackers and youthful expats. It is the cheapest option with the friendliest staff, a grear bar, cleanliness is good, kitchen leaves something to be desired but overall it was the highlight of our Kenyan...

Walking through the gate of South Coast Backpackers transports you from a dusty street into a green oasis. The place has a very relaxed feel, the pool is nice, the food is good (but order early, it takes a while). The beach is a 7 minute walk. On the way there you pass the KFI supermarket where you can get...

I used my own tent so I cannot say anything about the rooms but staff was very friendly and the place really has a backpacker atmosphere. The location is excellent, less than five minutes to the beach. And what a beach... The best I have visited ever!

The staff was really nice. You can enjoy a tasteful and fresh food. Dorms are clean, do not forget to use mosquito nets and repellant. :) There is a swimming pool you can use all day long and the beach is 2 minutes walking. The atmosphere is cool and chill to enjoy a Tusker.

The South Coast Backpackers was a cool place to stay. Relaxing vibe and friendly staff. The beach, accommodation and food is good and it is worth to stay at the backpackers. I stayed for two nights and it would be longer if i didn't had to travel further because of some trips that were planned. My advice, check out the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More stylish and security conscious than the average backpackers, Diani Backpackers has dorms and privates in a lovely house. Come to party at the 24-hour bar and pool, chill out in the lush garden, or catch up on sleep in the baobab dorm, where beds wrap around the trunk of a tree. There's a volleyball court, great daily menu and lockers. Turn right after KFI supermarket. ... more   less
