An amazingly beautiful place, the staff are so friendly.

Food is out of this world, my husband has food allergies & they just took the list & catered for him without me having to stress or remind them.

We had a relaxing holiday, my kids loved it loved the freedom to have their meals when they want.

The rooms are spacious, they provide toiletries such as your shampoo etc.
Tea and coffee in the room with fresh milk placed in your fridge every evening with a cookie jar!

I would recommend this to everyone.

We really enjoyed our very relaxing 5 night stay. I think because the eating area is so intimate, we met the nicest people while we were there! It was a very quiet time of the year, the weather was was not great.. but we did have fun playing games, eating three delicious meals a day and taking walks on the beach despite all the locals approaching us! The highlight of our stay was most definitely seeing the turtles hatch!! I have always wanted to see this and we just happened to be there where they hatched three days in a row! So cool!
Thank Jldime

The hotel is small and every single member of the kind, attentive and professional staff, plus the wounderful food, makes it a good hotel. Clean. Very attentive of them was the birthday song and show African style for my wife. The rooms and more its bathrooms are dated, some joints of the shower with black colour, I muss guess sponges, which doesn’t make me scared, but a cheap plastik brush, plastic bin and hair and shower gel to refill are definitively not 5 stars, also not in Africa. I keep fotos of that if anyone doubhts about it. Even our Mara camp had the Bulgary body lotion. We must mention that the assistant manager gave us a free room upgrade to avoid matrass problems between me and my wife. We are thankful. Go there if you know that and wish to have a peaceful hotel and to take a taxi to more places in Diani so it’s 7 USD to the shopping center and 10 to Forty Thieves. That was what we payed, out and again in. Not so content we were about the beach. The beach itself is beautiful but we were there before and knew that in front of the Afrochic is a a reef which makes swimming endangered with getting an injury by the shelly ground. Other hotels are a bit better located for that. Worse are the beach boys: some ones are kind, but in the group were two who tried to eat my brain talking to us during more than half an hour, pushing and pressing verbally, my son disliked such so that he was unwilling to go there again, next day. Honestly, I would not go there for beach holidays, but for some days before or after Safari to Mara yes it would repeat Diani. Unpolite I found the transportation policy. They tell that with a stay of four nights you get a free transport from/to your airport. For us, it was refused twice; in the reservation office of the hotel chain and by asking the assistant manager she only repeated what reservations told: two berooms for three nights is not as free as one bedroom of four nights. Two reservations of the same family, one for my son, both made in Expedia, six nights in total, is not the same than one of four nights. I myself don‘t understand that and found it legal robbery, because I accepted wishing to have this transfer. The way from Ukunda Airstrip was charged with 34 USD and the one to Mombasa Moi International with 81 USD. I will put a comment about this to Expedia complaints. More, way to Moi they managed us an uncomfortable-for-my-spine Toyota minibus with a good driver but not the hotel car.

Excellent hotel if your looking for friendly staff who do not hassle you, no loud music, no pool games and plenty of sun beds.

All food is made to order you can have as little or as much as you like varied choice so something to please everyone.

The staff are happy to organise any trips for you, the rooms are large with good air conditioning and well equipped

We would highly recommend staying at this hotel whether your travelling alone, a couple or family.

The only negative point is the beach boys who hassle you as soon as you step into the beach but the hotel did warn us about these on arrival, they are not allowed onto the property which is good and in no way stopped us enjoying the hotel. What ever hotel you pick on diani beach the beach boys will be a problem so don’t let them put you off this hotel. The benefits far outweigh this negative point which is out of the hotels control.

We visited AfroChic for a 4-day Vaca and what more can we say than WOW. From the moment the driver picked us up at the Airport, the shockingly clean area, with great roads...then a short trip to this Boutique Resort. We were greeted at the gate by exceptionally friendly security, then met by staff as we parked. A fresh beverage and the check-in...quick easy and seamless...

From there, somehow it just got better. Meals are exceptional - thanks to Chef Juma...the freshest meats (unbelievable fish dinners - after all it is the coast), fruits, vegetables, breads and desserts. Each meal exceeded that the last! The room was great...hottest water we've ever seen in a hotel anywhere in the world. The outside amenities are top-shelf...large perfect pool, great towels, lounge chairs, shaded lying areas, observant staff for drinks, meals, snacks and afternoon tea/coffee with fresh pastries, cakes and cookies.

Having visited many destinations on the World and many properties by the Elewana Collection...we must say that this was truly marvelous and all staff, facilities, hospitality, food and beverage are at the top of the game.

Thanks to Beatrice (Manager who checked on us daily, to ensure our stay was 110%) for the attention to detail and ensure that we'll be back to visit!

Almost forgot, the beach is perfect, soft-white sand, the water welcoming and have read some other reviews, we had no problems with any of the Beach Boys? Perhaps, we understood that this is a beach area, and locals are trying to make a buck also...happens at every beach the world over - but we found that they were respectful and less bothersome than many other destinations we've visited in the past.
