We love this hotel 🏨 we have been coming to this hotel for 18 years love it every year this year my wife had a accident in the hotel that were very helpful did everything for us I will be back in May to see all my friends from coffee shop to great restaurants and people 😀
Where do I begin. From the bellboys Panos and Tasso the the receptionists Joanna and Sophia to the concierge, housekeeping and restaurant staff it was all WOW!! Definitely a 5 star hotel. They arranged excursions and restaurants. The pools were spotless as all other areas. Housekeeping was generous and friendly. Absolutely will go again.
We were moved here from the Contessina suite we booked as it was end of season, and were given a swim up room in exchange. We stayed in the recently opened new part, which was clean, chic and contemporary. There are two pools and we could order food and drinks from the app. Rooms were ample, but no drawers for smaller items. Breakfast was a good offering buffet, but no fish dishes. Had to pay for a late checkout at 10 euros per hour till 4pm, a bit cheeky as it was close of season the day after. Otherwise, all good.
This place is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. We had an amazing, relaxing experience. The staff were always there for you and nothing was too much trouble. There were the most delicious complimentary cakes in our room on arrival and different treats every day. The staff provided a cake for my husband's 50th birthday in our room with balloons which was a fantastic suprise for him. The breakfast had so much choice and was delicious including crepes, pancakes, gateaux, bacon, sausage, omlette station, pastries, meats etc far too much to mention everything. The rooms were luxurious, beds were so comfortable and I loved having the nespresso machine in the room. Every little detail here is so well thought out it was a flawless experience. The pool areas were beautiful and the different types of sunbeds and beanbags were super luxurious and relaxing. The staff are a real credit to the hotel. I have never been so sad to leave anywhere like this before. I will absolutely come back. …
We had such a lovely time at Contessina. We stayed for 4 nights and from the moment we arrived (4 hours before check-in) everyone was friendly - especially the reception staff - and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The family room was clean and nicely decorated as was the rest of the hotel, and we were offered clean towels (including pool towels) every day. We stayed on a half board basis and enjoyed a 5-course dinner every night. We didn’t rent a car so we appreciated the close proximity to restaurants, shops and a mini golf place. Would highly recommend and we may return sometime in the future.
Honest review. If you are a sun worshiper and want winter sun this is NOT the hotel for you.. we really wanted to sit out and be able to sunbathe and use the pools but they were freezing as all the pools/Loungers including swim up rooms and balconies are shaded most of the day apart from about 3hrs 2-5pm at this time of year. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept and clean, the staff are great and very helpful and the food including breakfast was really nice. Just really disappointing that we could sit out and enjoy the sun. Also be prepared to be disturbed about 6pm everyday to ask if you need water or sweets and towels.
I wanted pedicure & manicure during my holiday so I booked in with Dora, who made me feel very relaxed during my treatment, nothing was too much trouble, she did an amazing treatment, and made me very special. Tku Dora you are a very talented therapist and a credit to the spa at Contessina Hotel. See you again xx
Everything is perfect. Staff are friendly, and so helpful. Special mention to Dora in the spa, she is lovely and so attentive, a real credit to them. The rooms are lovely, all freshly decorated with fresh towels twice a day, a bottle of water and a chocolate in the evening. Everything about the hotel has the wow factor and you really do feel you are looked after whilst on your holiday. We LOVED it 😍 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
We booked this hotel for our honeymoon through Secret Escapes after having seen it on Mr & Mrs Smith which is where I normally research hotels for our trips abroad. The Secret Escapes deal was for a pool or garden view Executive Loft and included a few extras like a bottle of wine in the room, 10% off food and beverage and late check out. The hotel looks really impressive on arrival - it's all sleek cream stone with beautiful succulent plants growing everywhere and was completely spotless. The staff on reception were very welcoming and the concierge took our cases to our room. We were really disappointed with the view from the balcony which was over the reception area. It looked out onto a building site and car/scooter hire place and couldn't really be described as either a pool or garden view. I went straight back to reception to complain and see if we could be moved but was told that there were no other rooms available. There seemed to be the implication that if you booked through SE then these rooms with the street view were the rooms allocated. We also realised that the balcony door was broken so we were eventually moved to the room next door which had the same view. On the final day of our trip the front of house manager offered us a private garden suite with a private pool which was incredible even if it was just for one night. If I came back to Contessina I would definitely book this room even though it was the most expensive room as it really was amazing. The Executive Loft was great with a really big bathroom and the cleaning and housekeeping staff were amazing - they made our twin beds up into a double when we asked and they replenished towels and water daily. There are two pool areas and we used the smaller one daily. The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of shady areas and sun depending on what you prefer. It did get busy but we always managed to get a bed after breakfast. The bigger pool was busier and there were normally fewer beds available as other guest reserved beds with towels pretty early despite signs saying not to. Breakfast was great - so much choice from cooked food to fresh fruit, pastries and savoury continental style breakfast. I was excited to go every day! I had a deep tissue massage in the Kamara Spa and it was brilliant - one of the best massages I have ever had. Overall I think this is an excellent hotel but I have dropped one star in the review because of the poor view of the original room which made the balcony unusable really. I guess my advice would be book direct with the hotel rather than through Secret Escapes to get a better view! …
Right from the outset, we knew we had picked the right hotel. From the personalised welcome with concierge transport in a golf buggy to the most beautiful swim up room, absolutely everything was perfect. We stayed at the Contessina Hotel for a week, both to visit family on the island but also to celebrate our anniversary. At check-in, our room was upgraded to one which was way beyond our expectations. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was superb as was the daily housekeeping. Turndown is available every evening, along with the delivery of fresh towels (including beach towels) and daily local treats such as chocolates or fruit and bottled water. On our second day, the hotel even left a small cake in our room to celebrate our anniversary, alongside a personalised note. Breakfast is plentiful and very fresh with a choice no-one would be disappointed with. With our stay being early October, we saw the hotel both busy and less so. At no point did the service drop. Due to visiting family we didn’t get chance to eat in the restaurant, but we did eat lunch at the hotel on one occasion and it was excellent. We will most certainly visit Tsivili and the Contessina Hotel again. Thank you to all the staff for making our week most memorable. We enjoyed our stay so much we requested a late checkout, simply to enjoy the surroundings of this beautiful hotel. We will most certainly be returning again.…
