The family hotel Porto Koukla Beach is the implementation of a beautiful idea and a dream which came true in 1992 for the Linardos family. It is the continuation of the little traditonal taverna which was owned by the family since 1980. It is constructed according to the Ionian style and colours and it is set in unique gardens and greenary next to the bright sea. For people who wish to combine the peacefulness and tranquillity of nature with quality service, good food, romantic nights under live music notes and hospitality in its true meaning in general.

What a beautiful space!!! Located in a beautiful bay where turtles can be spotted, you’ll find a fascinating nice and calm hotel which is the perfect place to relax - after working too hard, to find your time to be with you! Also perfect for couples in love ♥️. Thanks Porto Koukla Beach for the live music, for fascinating blue water, for enjoying great evenings at the hotel tavern which is one of the most beautiful places on the island. Find peace and friends…

We have known the hotel and the restaurant for a long time. The restaurant and the sea view terrace were always excellent. But this summer everything changed. The lunch menu was short and the quality of food poor. The eggplant salad was a whitish mass full of mayonnaise, nothing like the recipe before. Their evening dinner was very repetitive, the same every day, no fish, just fatty meat mixed in the sauce. And the price for dinner was 15€ excluding drinks, while in the other restaurants of Agios Sostis a good dish cost cheaper. We hope that the management of the hotel will review their restaurant service because the splendid nature around the hotel and the musical evenings is one thing and their restaurant management is another. I think it's a clear message, we would like to regain the quality of their cuisine with pleasure next summer.

We were very happy with our stay at the Porto Koukla hotel. The evening meal was varied, and delicious. The selling point for this hotel are the al fresco dining with the beautiful view of the sea. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel could do with a bit of t.l.c., but it is an old place and has character. For the price, we were very happy with facilities. I would say that you do need a car if you stay here. Because the sea has eroded the beach away, there are no coastal walks to the next towns. So, you end up taking taxis if you want to go anywhere which can work out quite costly. The nearest town is apparently a 20 minute walk away, but with heat of 34 degrees on most days, this was impossible for us.

We had a spacious room, very nice view and a cozy terrace. The staff thinks along with you about what you could do on the island. Breakfast and lunch was good. It was nice to be able to walk to other places from the beach. Watch out for the stones in the water, get water shoes :)

Stayed here half board for seven days with my family in August 2020. The rooms are pretty standard, including a bed, wardrobe, safe, bedside table, desk, and a TV. The shower rooms are a poor standard. The rail holding the shower curtain was half hanging off the wall, and the shower itself was a bit temperamental with temperature. Bedding is changed every three days, and towels every two. This is acceptable, however the towels and bedding are clearly old - showing signs of discolouration and some staining. This doesn’t particularly bother me, but for some people it is a big no-no. There is a small but perfectly lovely pool just across the road from the hotel which includes a bar. Here you can get drinks, snacks and toasted sandwiches (which were very tasty). The man in charge is very friendly and an asset to the hotel team. I spent every day by the pool and was able to get a sunbed every time. The pool gets busiest in the afternoon, from about 3pm, at which point it did get a bit cramped. If the hotel was operating at capacity, I would imagine it would not be as pleasant a place to sit and relax. Furthermore, there are bins located just down the road from the pool which occasionally waft a horrible smell. Slightly off putting when trying to enjoy a toastie. In terms of the food at the hotel, while the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, the dinners were very tasty with plenty of selection. Breakfast is continental - plenty of bread, ham and cheese and preserves on offer, but not much else. Dinner generally involves a bit of a meal feast with the option of chips, rice and/or pasta. The BBQ night was especially good and highly recommended. The main selling point for this hotel is its location. Not because it’s in within the hustle and bustle of Zante - it’s not - but rather because of the amazing views that it’s position allows. There are truly spectacular views over the sea, and you can see Turtle Island from the eating area. The sea is also easily accessed via the hotel although there isn’t actually much in the way of beach. Nonetheless, if you like the sea it’s perfect. Overall, for the price we paid I’m happy enough with the stay. The rooms could do with an update, but what this hotel lacks in terms of overall standard, it more than makes up for it with the fantastic views over the sea. You can’t beat that, even if you have to suffer a bog-standard breakfast (see the picture for evidence of both!).

We visited the hotel with my husband and kids and I can say it was a delight! Tranquil and beautiful place, the turtle island just a few minutes away, clean rooms and pool, and good quality of food with plenty of choices at the buffet. The girls at the reseption Angie and Maria I think, were very nice and helpful, and Dennis at the pool bar made our holidays special with his cocktails and his smile all day long! Most of the staff is very polite! There is a beautiful beach bar for drinks but the two blonde girls at the evening were a little bit rude cause they seemed to care much more about their boyfriends or their phones, than the customers. The island is very beautiful I would gladly come back again!
