Views to die for, staff so friendly. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby but would swerve the Le Mar restaurant, very pretentious and not very welcoming but definitely do try the Chefolonia restaurant further along. Great food and attentive staff. They weren't ready for opening when walked past but said come inside and take a seat. Awesome. Beaches lovely although a good 30min walk downhill, not a problem, coming back up is quite steep so be prepared. Room and apartments were spotless. Would definitely return.
We arrived here for the 2nd time this year on the 25th of September.. lt was as we remembered , beautiful pool, welcoming bar, spotless apartment , smiling ,welcoming hosts , can't do enough for you . A family run business with a friendly, humorous approach . Blue flag beaches ,plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets can't wait to return . Thank you for a perfect holiday .
Perfect! Everything about Aristomenis is just lovely, stunning views with a beautiful pool and bar area its the perfect way to spend a lazy day. The apartments are well maintained and kept spotlessly clean. The gardens are full of flowers and again well tended. Plenty of sunbeds plus a lovely covered veranda. Stelios cooks very tasty meals at very reasonable prices. The best thing about Aristomenis is the people. Guests love it so much we return year after year, so it's wonderful catching up with guests from previous years and making new friends. And of course the lovely owners Eleni and Stelios, joined this year by their handsome son Aris. Always make you feel so welcome. Lourdas is a very quiet location, just a few mini markets, three bars and a handful of tavernas. The beach is a 25 minute walk away down a very steep hill. Sunbeds are available, about 7 euros and there are some tavernas. A bus will take you back up twice a day for 2 euros. A bus into Argostoli stops outside Aristomenis, again only 2 euros. Worth going in just to see the turtles. We love Aristomenis, one of our very favourite places …
Lovely clean and peaceful here. The brochure doesn’t give it justice. The gardens here are amazing and the views stunning. It is on the hillside so be mindful of steps and slopes. The food at the bar is lovely, freshly made. I would recommend the burgers and the Greek fries. The bus stop is right outside that takes you to Agristoli. There are 3 main supermarkets, a lovely coffee shop and restaurants all nearby. The beach is downhill and very steep so we stayed by the pool.
This was our first time to Kefalonia and what a beautiful island it is. The Aristomenis apartments are a perfect place to stay, with incredible views and lots of lovely places to visit and eat close by. The apartments are of a good standard, exceptionally clean and the gardens are gorgeous. The views are outstanding, mountains to one side and the ocean and Zante to the other. The pool and bar area is a perfect size for the apartment block and we were always able to get a sunbed regardless of what time we got up. The food from the bar was excellent and there is nothing better than an ice cold beer late in the afternoon. I particularly liked the daily quote and specific cocktail of the day. Everyone - owners, staff and other travellers made everyone feel welcome. I can genuinely say that this is one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had. Just a pity we had to come home.…
Had a lovely holiday here for a week with my partner. It was definitely worth the price. There were always sun loungers available by the pool, but maybe not umbrellas. The food was good quality by the pool as well, and not a bad price. All of the guests were very friendly and nearly every single family like to return every year, which I think says a lot. Service was usually good by the staff but also it could be improved. For example, we ran out of toilet roll in our room, we asked for some more and the owners did not give us any and told us to check the pool toilets for some. We ended up buying our own. Views are stunning and rooms are very clean, but do not come here expecting to cook your own meals as there is no oven or supplies such as sponges washing up liquid etc… We personally found the restaurants very average, we recommend souvlaki house, but not spiros! If you are wanting a holiday where you go out and explore then you will need a car. The beach is a long walk away (a taxi is a must) and nice but not too much there except a few places to eat. Personally, we wanted a holiday to lounge around by the pool and to relax and this was great for that.…
Just returned from a week at the Aristomenis Studios. The TUI brochure does not do this justice. The views are amazing, the studios are much nicer than the brochure shows. This is a lovely family run business. The staff are all lovely and Milo the dog and the little kittens add the finishing touch . We have had a lovely relaxing week here. It is a quiet resort but plenty of tavernas in walking distance. The resort of Lourdata had lovely places to eat and is a taxi ride away.
I stayed here for a week with a friend on a 'girly break' where the intention was to chill by the pool, drink wine/beer/cocktails, eat, sunbathe, read... mission accomplished! A great spot for a relaxing break. The most beautiful views I've ever had when staying in Greece and the biggest terrace too (perfect for enjoying them on). It's a good walk to the beach down quite a steep hill (it's even steeper on the way up), but the bars, restaurants and supermarkets are just a few minutes' stroll away. All in all, I would highly recommend.
Absolutely loved this place and this holiday. The apartments are beautiful and clean, and we had a lovely view. Staff were friendly and made us feel so welcome. The food is delicious and fresh, the homemade lemonade is amazing and the cocktails are too. The music by the pool is varied and seemed to suit the mood of the time of day perfectly. I loved the views too-mountains on one side, the coastline on the other. The area is quiet and there are some great restaurants within walking distance. A fun, relaxing and memorable holiday. Highly recommend.
Spent two weeks at these beautiful apartments. The family who own Aristomenis are lovely and nothing is too much trouble (Harry makes the most amazing Bloody Mary, best I have ever tasted). Apartments are very clean, as is the whole complex. We had beautiful views of the pool and the sea. The walk to Lourdas beach takes about 30 minutes, all down hill. Coming back you need to be ultra fit - there is a bus that can bring you back at 2.30 pm or 6.00 pm at a cost of 2 Euros. I would definitely recommend a stay at Aristomenis.
