Just spent a few days here at Lara Hotel in Lordas. A lovely hotel with a family feel. Pool area at front with small bar selling soft drinks and snacks. Breakfast adequate but same every day so some variety would be nice.

Not easily. There are buses into Argostoli, the capital, from Vlachata (at the top of the hill) and there is a timetable. They are infrequent but one goes around about 9am. Not sure how reliable they are though. A couple of years ago they introduced a local bus service between Lourdas Beach, Vlachata and Trapazaki which runs regularly throughout the day during the summer months. One can but presume that it will happen again this year!

We had a side sea view room on first floor .couldn't really see it as olive trees in the way .If you ask for too floor you can see it .But the night sky is awesome whatever side of hotel yr on.the opposite side is mountain... More

Email the owner he will accomadate you If he can .Enjoy its a lovely friendly but not intrusive hotel.
