Just wrapped up a Joni Mitchell Tribute Festival at Ruby Lake. Perfect. The grounds of the resort are amazing and creative and beautiful. The staff and owners became instant friends. They were friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make sure things went great for us. We'll be back.

After not planning much in the way of a summer vacation, we decided to give Ruby Lake "Resort" a try. I went to the website and was impressed by what it had to offer. The photos and descriptions of the resort are quite nice and the accommodations are pet friendly. This was important since we were bringing our dog with... More

We stayed two nights here, had an amazing time, but find it too expensive for what they offer. Cabin was very not well maintained... I.e. stained sheets (I rubbed one stain with a damp cloth and removed it so I am assuming they weren't washed), popcorn in the bed (Not ours) and mould and spiders (I counted 6 spiders the... More

We stayed in a Cottage, very dated but reasonable clean. The cottage was noisy, you can hear the noise transmit across the lagoon from the restaurant plus the walls between the cottages are thin. We were greeted by Anna, she was very busy with the rentals and checking people out as the resort had been busy with a wedding. She... More

My friend and I brought our 6 year olds here for 4 day stay. We were able to snag a last minute cancellation but we could not get a kitchen so we decided to just make do. We brought some food and refreshments. We had two bedrooms, one for the kids and we shared a lovely king size bed. Housekeeping... More

We were really looking forward to staying here and at $225/night perhaps our expectations were too high. My main complaint is that the property is overpriced, but apart from that our stay was 'nice'. We stayed two nights in a cabin with 2 queens and full kitchen which was adequate - fully equipped is misleading - bring your own cutting... More

My friends and I stayed in cottage 9, which had 2 double beds, a full kitchen and bathroom. Just the right size for the 4 of us. We brought our own food and drinks since we were not planning on eating at the on-site restaurant. There was a BBQ just outside our cottage in a covered area with a large... More

Who would have expected such a tremendous dining experience in such a remote location. Everything was superb. The appetizers were not only delicious, but a delight to the eye. Our mains were also excellent (we both had the seafood pasta). The ambience is also unique - there must be a woodcarver in the background. The service was also outstanding.

When we got to Ruby Lake, we were told that there would be no breakfast, no Tea, no coffee, Hot water or even water until after 11 o'clock. You have to drive several miles to get breakfast. When we went into our accommodations, we saw standing water several feet beneath our cabin, and therefore our cabin was infested with mosquitoes.... More
