We spent 2 nights here as we were visiting nearby Cambridge. The room, which was part of the old stables, was large and clean. The food in the pub was excellent, and all the staff charming and helpfull. A very pleasant stay indeed.

I have had three fabulous meals at the Black Horse this week. A very good menu all beautifully cooked and served by very friendly staff. My personal recommendation is for the vegetable lasagna and also the nut roast which I thoroughly enjoyed even though I am not vegetarian. The desserts are fabulous too. I recommend the apple crumble with cinnamon...

We stayed here one night after spending the day at the Bury St Edmunds Christmas fair. Our room was small but nicely done with a large bathroom. Our only criticism was that we could hear the noise from the next door room which unfortunately started at 6am with our neighbours putting on the television and talking loudly! We ate very...

Stayed one night as we attended a function at The Paddocks in Six Mile Bottom. There was a warm welcome and staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good although there is the start of black mould in the grout. The only down side is that outside noise (from the picnic tables and vehicles)...

Beautifully placed for Cambridge and Newmarket. Quiet village with friendly staff and landlord James. It's a real old fashion pub atmosphere with friendly locals that make you feel as though they have known you for years. Well worth the trip just superb. The rooms are in a courtyard and are very comfortable. The water is always hot and the showers...

Absolutely fantastic welcome and the service was very friendly throughout our one night stay. Room itself was great, huge comfortable bed and very clean, bathroom was the letdown, musty smelling and the shower surround was broken at the top, due to the dampness in the bathroom mould above the shower etc. Shower itself was great, very powerful. Our dinner in...

Stayed here whilst having a day at Newmarket races, Must say the welcome was really friendly. We were given the room key to our room which are set as stables which was a nice touch. The rooms were nice and cosy, tea and coffee facilities and a bathroom which is all we needed. The bar was clean and tidy with...

We stayed here on business in June Cambridge hotels were all full or very expensive. The food was well cooked and plentiful. We ate evening meal in the bar and had a great breakfast the next morning. The rooms all set around the car park courtyard were clean and functional. Free wifi available.
