Everything about Mossie's was wonderful, Lorna and David were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and helpful. We ate in on the first night - a scrumptious 3 course meal prepared and cooked by Lorna with locally sourced produce were possible. We stayed in the Russian room which was fit for a King and Queen with a super king sized bed and...

Stunning setting and views. Gorgeous gardens. We stayed in the exquisite Russian Room with it's bed fit for a royal wedding night. The food was top notch. Lorna and David have a rare ability to make you feel immediately welcome. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. Their adorable and jolly Jack Russell Tilly puts a smile on your face...

Mossie's is one of those places that makes ireland a great place to visit. The room we stayed in was the russian room, massive bed. lovely room. The dinner we had in the guest house was amazing, as good as any top class restaurant. The guest house owner is very friendly and the surrounding area in this part of west...

Just returned home after staying here for two days on a short visit to Southern Ireland. We were overwhelmed by the warm welcome, constant anticipation of our needs, fantastic home cooked food, comfortable room and surroundings, idyllic gardens, first class service, sightseeing recommendations, all in all, we wished we could have extended our stay. Will be sure to return as...

I must say I had difficulty between 'average' and 'very good' as a rating here. Mossie's is above average on for a West Cork B&B, but I'm afraid I'm hesitant with offering 'very good'. I found Mossie's rather pretentious, which made me a little uncomfortable. It was indeed pretty, rooms lovely, and the gardens gorgeous, but there was an arrogant...

B & B doesn't begin to do Mossies justice. It really is more a boutique hotel. The gardens, house and food are all amazing. But the jewel in the crown is Lorna. She is the perfect hostess, offering help and advice and making you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive. The bedrooms are all lovely, but for a...

At first sight, Mossies is a stunning BnB surrounded with a mature and well cared for garden. The initial impression is only a taste of what's to come. Inside, the colour schemes, carefully placed lamps and pictures (collected over the years) and stunning floor made of reclaimed wood all provide a warm and welcoming environment. I stayed in the "Victorian...

My wife and I spent a week at Mossies and can thoroughly recommend it. In fact I would be surprised if any other B&B on Beara comes close to this standard. However, Mossies is not a B&B in the conventional sense. Think of a small and very friendly boutique hotel and you get a better idea. We took the Russian...

We just got back from our second trip to Mossie's. My mom and I visited Lorna and David three years ago, and it was the highlight of our trip. We've been talking about how wonderful it was for the past three years! So, this July, we finally got to visit Mossie's again. It is better than ever! The gardens are...

Arriving on what must have been one of the wettest days (even by Irish standards) - even the approach lane was under water - we were swept up and enveloped into the delight of Mossie's. Wonderfully friendly owners; a beautiful house; fantastic gourmet meals and exceptional value for money and the friendliest Jack Russell ever. Don't miss it.
