Wasn't quite sure what to expect from a Youth Hostel but this ticked the boxes for what we needed it for. Nothing fancy but clean and set in a fantastic location, was just beautiful. A very peaceful one night stay in the middle of nowhere,...More

Thanks very much for leaving us a review. We are glad that you enjoyed everything, found it clean, and the location. We are convenient for Alton Towers, and have quite a few people coming to visit there. Hope to see you again next time.

A superb old Hall sat in the middle of the White Peak. Beautifully modernised for today's needs but without any loss of the true character of the place. Excellent service from a team of very happy staff who clearly take great pride in their home!

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave us a review, I am sorry that Room 14 had not been cleaned properly, we usually complete a room check after the housekeeping has taken place, so this must have been missed. I will ensure it...More

About
Description
Log fires, oak panelling and adventure playground - all make this 17th century manor house perfect for weekend breaks in Derbyshire. Did you know that Bonnie Prince Charlie even slept here? The hostel is in a More lovely, unspoilt area - great for activity breaks, walking holidays and cycling holidays. Use this great accommodation as a base to explore Alton Towers and Chatsworth House nearby. If you're looking at wedding venues in Derbyshire, you can get married at YHA Hartington Hall, have the hall as a magnificent backdrop to your photos, and then stay in our self-contained suite 'The Roost'. Don't miss the pets area and games room - great for family fun. Good home-cooked meals are available in our restaurant. Less
