An altogether great experience that was filled with seclusion and beauty. Do note that the road up to the cottages is very narrow and and difficult but we managed with a large car and is to be expected!

Had a very relaxing 3 night break at Wolfscote Cottage. We stayed at Wolfescote Cottage 20 years ago when our boys were young and watched the lambs being born in April. What an experience. Just as fantastic as we remember it. Jane & Joe are great hosts and willing to help even though they work hard on the farm. We...

Stayed for 5 nights last week and loved every minute of it. Contrary to some comments on TA, we found Jane and Joe to be nothing other than friendly, helpful, communicative yet unobtrusive - the perfect hosts. The room itself was excellent - very clean, a super comfy bed, tons of clothes space and well lit.Again contrary to comment from...

We were lucky to find a room at Wolfescote Grange on a Saturday afternoon (we took one look at the place we'd originally booked and drove off - but that's another story!). Without any fuss Jane offered us a double en-suite room at short notice. This is a working farm in a beautiful setting - 2 miles up a track...

Booked a couple of nights to stay at the B&B through a website. Lovely house with real character set in beautiful surroundings. Not easy to get to from the village however and this wasn't forewarned on website. Was strangely given a pot of fresh milk (nice idea) but no tea bags or coffee in room to make use of it....

My son and his fiancee had already booked a week at one of the self catering cottages, so we decided to join them for one night but staying in the main farmhouse B&B. Wolfscote Grange is a fair way off the beaten track, and is wonderful if you enjoy peace and quiet. The B & B was clean and comfortable....

I booked through agent & with my search criteria it was allowed, however I had to call & email to confirm if accepted, where I was dealt rudely saying she sent email...no offence on working night I go to bed early and then reading email that evening found it rude with no explanation of reason. Will not recommend this place...

Cannot comment on the accomodation but would agree with another review which commented on the less than satisfactory communication provided by the owners. Our rating is on the treatment received.I booked Swallow's Return for the Easter weekend . The purpose was to allow family travelling from opposite ends of the country to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday on the Easter Sunday....

Self-catering cottages. Wonderful location, with stunning views down to Wolfscote Dale. Cottage we had was OK but did not feel particularly clean - someone else's hair in bath and WHB plughole and both had to be cleaned before we could use them. Dust and biscuit crumbs on surfaces in my bedroom. Totally mismatched bed linen, which looked and felt tatty....
