Had to find a place to stay overnight to break the trip from Bagan to Ngwe Saung. I was told that this hotel was the best in town......and on first appearances it looked good with bungalows set around an artificial 'lake' full of giant carp. But everything about this place was tired, very tired. The rooms are old and poorly...

Bad value for money. Limitless welcome you will be asked to pay in cash every night. Room bungallow on the lake very noisy, the partitions are paper I supported the television from the neighbor from 10pm to 5am and yet I screamed! Unbelievable ! Obviously an important part of the clientele is Burmese which means they are satisfied with not...

I understand from the guide that this is the best resort hotel in Pyay. The chalet rooms are located around a lake. The environment really give you a calm and peaceful feeling. The room is spacious with an indoor mini garden. Only issue is wifi is not accessible from the room even with password access.. You need to go to...

Such a beautiful in Pyay. A treasure to find. Beautiful landscape with many ponds and lake view. Great service. Restaurant is top notch. Great ambience with view. We ate both dinner and lunch the next day and never stepped outside for any meal. Definitely would recommend and definitely will come back to.

A local favorite restaurant plus resort, Mingalar Garden Resort also just within few minutes drive to the Sri Ksetra Museum. The room is quite decent and they have very nice decoration throughout the whole resort. Foreigner will be charged for 70USD per room and come buffet breakfast but as usual, the local can get it at a much cheaper price.

I stayed at the MGR for one night as part of an organised tour of Myanmar so did not select the hotel. The situation of the hotel is excellent, it is beside a lake that comes right up to the rooms and restaurant. Fish can be fed there. The setting is one of gardens and water, with the rooms accessed...

Nice hotel surrounded by water a greenery the rooms are nice and the onsite restaurant very good. My room was clean and nicely laid out but the bathroom had a extractor that let insects in. The wild life is very loud and it took awhile to sleep but I would go back and spend a few days there.

expect the unexpected - mingalar garden resort is an oasis built at a pond and set in beautiful garden. the resort is a quiet and peaceful place. it was a shame that I only could stay for one night. pyay is place worth visiting, particularly the ancient city of Sri Ksetra which recentlywas awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Status

An interesting trip for my husband and I revisiting my father's 2nd world war haunts. The nearest town to where he was based in 1942 was Prome and the Minglar Garden Resort is the best place in town. I really did feel I was going back in time. Everything about the hotel and it's rooms felt as if we'd gone...
