I went with my wife (she badly wants to go) to this hotel for the New Year Party. But surprisingly instead of NY party it was celebration for children. At the dancing room there as about 17 kids and their parents, plus a "cheap" magician for kids came and expend two hours entertaining the kids as if the party was a Pinata. Our expectations for the party, as dancing, grapes and champagne went away to be seen the children be distracted .What a disappointment for my wife and I. Also the card-key at my room did not worked, the towels and pillows has a bad smell, no internet available. Food was good, and the waiter Roberto were excellent as well the AC. The access road to the hotel parking lot is very bad.
Out of curiosity, we decided to explore the Isletas de Granada and came across Reith Lake resort. It's not an Eco lodge but the island itself has been built into a top 5* hotel with great thought and care, paying attention to detail, with high quality finishes in the rooms; sumptuous beds and exquisite bathrooms with soft, scented towels! Excellent friendly staff, and good food- especially guapote (though order early in low season as they runout!). Stunning views, a refreshing infinity pool and access to boating equipment to explore other islets. An amazing escape, just a few kms from Granada, it is a definitely a resort to comeback to (in fact we have reserved already for September). The hotel is promoted as a wedding location, but you don't need to get married to enjoy a honeymoon here. Fantastic!…
Since the second we got there, the treatment was VIP, the climate was perfect, the view is awesome and the hotel is a 4 stars facility that made us feel like royalty. We had fresh lobsters, carpaccio, wine, fruits, beef and everything was 5 stars quality. You will never regret a visit to this paradise. Prices are fair. The adventure in jetski was great fun, would not change my weekend at the Reith Lake for nothing in the world! Full recommended.
Excellent servive, very good food. Special for a relax time in middle of Cocibolca lake. Totally recomended. You have option just to read enjoy the weather or use kayak like entertaiment. dress confortable clothes.
Stumbled across the property while exploring the area. The hotel has been open since about August 2016. They are building a new restaurant/bar/pool area on the private mainland port and final touches continue to be made but the hotel looks to be very comfortable. At full capacity there are only about 12 rooms. We only stopped for lunch but they did show us around the property. Lunch was very nice. The menu was limited but was international and reasonable prices ($9-20+ entrees). The real tip here is book the package rates. The cost difference for the extra meals and taxes alone make the package rates a better deal. The deluxe rooms are very nice but the suites offer better views and more private space. All rates are based off two adults and one child. The package rates include three meals a day, two for one happy hour, taxes and all random fees (boat transfer to/from the island, paddle boat/board fees, lake tour. All rates offer wifi and breakfast. Overall the property is beautiful and isolated. With limited amenities, I would keep stays short but seemingly perfect for a quick getaway or break along your travels.…
We enjoyed a day at hotel el Reith Lake eating delicious lobster bisque and whole fried guapote (fish). Roberto, our waiter took great care of us all day. We went paddle boarding and kayaking in the afternoon. The manager gave us a tour of the rooms and we realized that the next time we will surely stay over night. From the beautiful carved wooden doors to the stone sinks in the bathrooms, it has all been decorated with high class finishes. Definitely a good value for the price.
