This hotel is good if you just want to spend overnight with family. Biggest advantage is good hotel at economic cost & Mahalaxmi temple is nearby around 10-15 mins only. So it serves our purpose fully. Overall it was short n sweet stay experience over here.
First of all - the good things. Good location, and easy access to market & temple. Great name - Sri Sri...and that is where it stops! Now the real facts. Impersonal staff, no empathy with guests whatsoever. Extremely small room (for the price paid!). Stained bed-sheet, unclean towels, horrible bathroom doormat! Stench from toilets (this is the worst part). Rooms not ready despite late check-in (1:30 PM). Room freshener was applied only after raising a ruckus. Tea-maker yes, but teabags/milk/sugar - oh no!! Worst - not a single bottle of water provided!! It takes ages for room service to deliver tea - guess what, this is provided by the available street vendor outside (but the tea quality was good). And last - even door latch was on it's last nut, ready to come off any moment!! Ms.Vaishali (on-line booking agent) - if you are reading this - please do not mislead families with false promises. I will never visit nor recommend this place to my community members unless I see any efforts to bringing the quality up. In effect this room should be priced at INR 500-600 per night, no more (and many apologies for this transparency). …
I had been to Kolhapur on 28th Jan and stayed in this hotel.I checked in the hotel around 8AM and hotel demanded Rs.800.00 as early check-in fee and that was quiet amazing for me.I am a ferequent traveller since last 45 years and first time I have encountered such a type of thing.Generally hotels allow early check in if room is available. The name of the hotel starts with Shri Shri but the behaviour of desk office staff is rusty. The hotel is neat and clean and rooms are good.It is advisable to have food outside as plenty of good restaurants are nearby. The hotel is in the main city and famous Maha Lakshmi temple is 4KM away from this place. The hotel charges are moderate.
We booked this hotel due to its nearness to the Mahalaxmi Temple. We were a group of 10 senior citizens and spent one night at this hotel. Since we had booked through a travel website, the check in process was quite smooth. The room size is just about ok to accommodate a couple. Bed was comfortable and toilet facilities were fine. The best part was the service - particularly at the restaurant. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Though it is a small place, the staff took good care of us and served us some tasty food. All in all, we had a pleasant stay - hope the hotel maintains the good standard!
We have been regular visitors to this hotel last couple of years but property maintenance standards and overall upkeep have declined badly. Hotel personnel unresponsive n unfriendly and not like before. I
The room though slightly less spacious were still ok for family of four, were clean and in good condition.Housekeeping ,staff etc were good too. Parking was available but only 3/4 vehicles could be lucky to have covered one. We had to take auto for temple, so not really a walking distance. Could recommend for anyone who wants trouble free overnight stay and temple darshan for a family.
The place is quite close to the Mahalaxmi temple which made us choose it and we were not disappointed. The rooms are small, but good enough for 2 members and for a short stay. Otherwise clean and well maintained and easy on costing.
Perfect place for families who intend to visit the Mahalakshami Temple in Kolhapur and for those ladies interested in shopping. The temple is just five minutes from the hotel. Rankala Lake is ten minutes away. It's a six stores hotel, with three rooms on each floor. The first floor has a decent restaurant. Although they claim to have WIFI, it was non-existent. The staff is extremely cooperative. One major hitch :- Being a small hotel, the telephone kept for the housekeeping staff, is a major irritant and robbed us of our sleep, throughout the night. I have requested them to think of alternate measures. Good hot and cold water 24 by 7. They provide two bottles of mineral water.
we stayed here 1 days... could maintain better cleanliness.. but location wise it's perfect for reach early for darshan. staff is quite friendly. comfortable stay. it's just 15mins walking distance from aahar misal
The hotel is near commerce college Azad chowk. The rooms were small and washroom and bathroom is too tiny. for paying 2100 plus for a executive a/c room this room is very small. The reception consists of uday vikram and prakash. They are good and give their guidance. The hotel has a small restaurant which is pathetic. needs improvement. guys can go the laxmi puri and eat at prarthana hotel which is good and rick takes 20 rupees. mahalaxmi temple is nearby. The room service is slow but tolerable. The wifi does not work all time and we did not receive complimentary paper in our room. even water bottle had to be ordered which was complimentary per person per day.Hotel ties up with a travel guy named suraj who has cars and you have to bargain with him for the service. railway station is nearby and rickshaw charges 30 rupees from hotel. from railway staion to hotel they charge rs 50. nearby mahalaxmi temple you have a kamat hotel which is ok for your lunch needs.…
