Well, from my previous review (2010) I thought this was such a horrible place to go. Now I am redeeming this resort due to the numerous renovations and addition to the resort. My husband and I travelled June 16 to 23. More polished and villas...More
Horrible Hotel, avoid(flee) and not to metter never feet. Horrible food, not functional air conditioning, no beach(range), infiltration of water through windows in case of rain, filtration of defective swimming pool. After 5 different trip in Cuba, the worst that I have never had all...More
Friendly staff, great drinks, music and beaches. This resort is small and budget priced with many repeat visitors. Guests tend to be younger tourists enjoying a week in Cuba. The food is good and I enjoy the dancers entertainment team.
This was my second trip to Cuba, first time to Cayo Largo... Stayed at the Iberostar Playa Blanca, travelled with my 21 year old daughter. We were looking for somewhere to relax and take a short break between completing her university exams and starting work...More
The stay at the Playa Blanca was a nice one, and I want to go back! The staff was nice and the location was ok. Despite its name, there is no direct beach to this hotel which is the downer! The clothing-optional is really what...More

Everyone is right, you either make your own nite life or you just take it easy or you go into the marina. We went into the marina one nite and it was a huge party, big screen, dance contests and the alcohol was 1-2 dollars only. The age for this though is younger so when I say younger I mean younger than me, so around the 20's to 30's bracket but more the lesser of the age. We did make our own fun at the resort as we met people and had our own music going. The marina would be the place to go for nite life only.

the beach comes and goes..have been going here for 10 years now, and last year the beach came back, then went back in december and the beach was gone and only in front of the new italian resort. the clothing optional was still there in december 2016, but i have heard that because of the beach washing away, this may not be the case anymore. One can always go to one of the other resorts or the virgin beaches, where there still is clothing optional. one of the reasons probably won[t go back is because the beach has washed away, it is a very long walk to the beach front of the new italian resort.......and canadians were still not allowed to stay there as of last december. most italians are not in favour of clothing optional and descend on the beach in literal herds of people, and have a totally different attitude the relaxed canadians....so it was a little tense in december between nature lovers and clothed italians.
