This is a beautiful location with lovely walks onsite, we did a lovely 2 hour horse ride with nice horses (we are beginners, though many options for advanced riders), a lake where you can swim and a lakehouse where we had a lovely picnic set up for us! The rooms were lovely with luxurious beds in both the suite and... More

We had a wonderful stay at Fazenda Catuçaba. We found everything was close to perfection, from our large comfortable room (with a fireplace) to discreet and kind staff and great dinner and breakfast. The area is vast and offers diverse enjoyable outdoor options. We also met interesting artists who were in residency at the fazenda while we were there. The... More

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere! Make sure your driver (or you) have a good satnav. Our driver was from Rio and only had a vague printed map as guidance - he stopped several places along the way for guidance and we drove for at least 30-40 mins down a single track road and across many old... This place is so special that any trip to Brazil would be enhanced by a couple of nights here. It is about 3 hours drive from Sao Paulo through some of the most incredible scenery and landscape. It is worth the wait however, we were warmly greeted and even met the Fazenda's puppy Clark. Very cute. The rooms are lovely,... More

The luxury here is not in the rooms or speed of the wifi. It's in the quality of the guided horseback riding tours in the stunning mountains around this farm B&B. It's not in the gourmet cooking but in the incredibly fresh ingredients used both for the green salad and for the caipirinha - all homegrown. Perfect place to go... More

Fazenda Catuçaba is an unique and special place! I spent the past weekend with my husband at the hotel, to celebrate our anniversary, and we could not have picked a better place. The amazing moments will be forever in our memories.

We took four young boys, who could not have been happier. Our five year old happily spent hours riding on the most gentle and well looked after horses you could imagine. Mum was happy as the staff, food and welcome could not have been more charming or helpful. There is a gentle, homely feel to the Fazenda, guests are encouraged... More

“Since rooms are part of a bunk-house type arrangement they sit side by side and close together. Bathrooms are en suite, but you may here other guests at night as they come in our leave. It could get a bit noisy, so ask for a room on the end of the row if you don't like noise. However, everyone was very respectful when we were there.”
