Stayed here for one night. The main problem was the bed which was so hard I was feeling it for days! The other problem was the noise from outside. Despite being in a one street town the traffic still honks continuously which is easily heard inside the hotel!

Beds are as hard as rocks. Bring aspirin if you'd like to ever sleep. Our air conditioning didn't work, due to power issues and our overhead light kept turning on in the middle of the night (12am, 2am, and 3am). We paid $30 USD for this terrible service!!! Similar hotels (price and comfort) are a dime a dozen in cat...

Can't complain about much else with this hotel. Staff were friendly, everything was clean and quite modern but the beds were beyond hard. Sore for days afterwards. Shame! Good location for restaurants and the harbour and decent wifi. Close to being a good place.

I like a firm mattress ... don't get me wrong, but blimey these are just solid. Actually OK to sleep on, but if you're at all averse to a hard bed, then this is not the place for you. Clean and decent sized rooms though. Some work needed on the shower - it's an open shower, but the shower head...

...this isn't the place. In a word, "uncomfortable." Beds are the hardest I've ever slept on (north American, Asian, South American, European, African). AC stopped working about 5 minutes in. Noise has been unbearable - from the street (sounds like the honking busses are in the hallway), from a loudspeaker going off in the back of the hotel and screaming...

.....but it is true about the beds. I had to check to see if they had forgotten to put a mattress on the base. However, after a full day of traveling and kayaking, I managed to sleep pretty well and it was for only one night. On the plus side, it's right on a main side street, the rooms and...

The place is just up the main drag about a 10 mins walk to the beach. Similar to other reviews, these are the hardest beds in Vietnam hands down. They were clean though. Other items worth noting: FULL SHOWERS! Yes big bathrooms for the country. Complimentary house coats and shower slippers. The brekfast was ok but just standard. Had to...

Some might say super hard..! Average hotel but then Cat Ba is not very interesting for Vietnam. Wouldn't go again. Some good restaurants on the seafront but more expensive here than other parts of Vietnam.

The rooms were a reasonable size and clean but the beds were like Rick they were so hard. We only stayed one night and that was enough. The location of the hotel is good and a very short walk to good bars and restaurant. Breakfast was basic but good value and tasty

Just off the main front street. Some modern features in rooms (eg touch pad lighting switches) but the lasting memory is very hardest mattress I've ever slept on. I have what I thought was a firm mattress at home, but this is literally as firm as sleeping on the floor. That said, room was clean. Beach about 10/15 minutes walk...
