Group of 4 of us stayed here in mid October and couldn't have been happier. Immaculate home, most hospitable hosts and a superb breakfast! What more to ask for? The bedrooms were lovingly and tastefully decorated I might add. Would not hesitate to recommend Baker's Chest.

We were in town for the weekend at a Curling Bonspiel and spent 3 glorious nights here. Can't say enough good things. Our hosts were wonderful, beds were very comfy and our 3 breakfasts were different each day and delicious, we couldn't have been more satisfied! If you're looking to stay in this lovely corner of NS I recommend you check out Baker's Chest B&B. You won't be sorry.

Stayed in the spacious Karn room which has a separate sitting area. Loved our very comfortable room and clean bathroom. The grounds were beautiful and I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night to take advantage of the hot tub. Glenda and Dan are great hosts and provided an excellent breakfast and advice on where to eat dinner and what sights to see. Highly recommend!

Warm welcome, clean and very comfortable with home baking and cooking - what’s not to love! Ideally situated near Truro with restaurants nearby.

Relaxing area outside, shared lounge area inside with coffee /tea making facilities. Free off street parking. Ideal stop off before short trip to Halifax airport.

Such a high quality Bed & Breakfast. We had a lovely room with a king size bed and ensuite. There was also a little couch we could sit on. The breakfasts that were provided were top notch. Very friendly hosts. We didn't want to leave.

Good quality B&B and tearoom. Run by a recently emigrated Dutch couple who took over from the previous owner of Dutch origin (B&B was called The Organery, the Tearoom Hi-Note). Spacious room, nicely decorated. No traffic noise but the railway can be heard (in the rare event of a train).
Owners try to get all guests at the table for breakfast at the same time and participate in the interaction. One will find that more often in this part of Canada. For us, this is the added value of a B&B.
Dinner tip: Kegger's Ale house with live music.

Nelly and Maarten welcomed us like old friends. Breakfasts were excellent and different every day. Maarten made the bread and Nelly cooked breakfast. Bed very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Just outside the town so very quiet.

On the first evening of a two week B&B tour of the Canadian Maritimes, weary travelers finally made it to the Baker's Chest Tearoom. We were enthusiastically greater by Nelly at the door, shown our rooms and collapsed for the night. The room was very comfortable with no detail left unthought of. Bed was comfortable with charging stations for our iPhone/iPads right on the bedside tables. The bathroom was a spacious four piece arrangement.

Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All the breads and baked goods are made on site by Marteen. What a talented guy. The host and hostess were very accessible and gave us so driving suggestions for our busy day ahead.

We plan to stop in for a second night on our way back to Halifax and look forward to another wonderful evening and am.

Stayed here for (unfortunately) only 1 night. The room was large, beautifully furnished, light and airy & the biggest bed we've ever slept in! The breakfast was superb, 4 different breads, fresh fruit salad with natural yogurt, Dutch pancakes & home made jam-yum! Oh and there was a swimming pool in the back garden (yard) The owners made you feel very welcome. I honestly cannot recommend the place enough!
