Went here for a meal with friends last month and had a very good meal clean and friendly some unusual choices of food which were very enjoyable, would recommend, not a good entrance if unable to climb steps but I think they have a separate entrance for people with mobility problems, best to ask if needed.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Stayed three nights in this charming hotel with our two large dogs. We took the bed breakfast and meal option and so glad we did because the food was glorious. Although there is a garden attached to the hotel we decided too take the dogs for their early and evening walks to a nearby playing field however, there is a...

Have just returned from a two night break at the castle hotel. They call themselves a hotel but really they are a pub with rooms. The bedrooms are exceptionally good well decorated very comfortable beds and bedding and wonderful bathrooms. The breakfasts are also very good. Three things spoiled my visit a little. The evening meals were a little disappointing...

Thank you for your review, I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay with us and your great comments about our staff and bedrooms are well received. We are actually graded as an "Inn" rather than a hotel, but we have been called The Castle Hotel since 1719. We do have a lovely comfy seating & sofa area in one of...

We were impressed with the choice...

We had a lovely nights stay in this dog friendly hotel. We were made very welcome and our room and bathroom was lovely. All the doggy residents including ours were very well behaved. Our breakfast was very good but dinner could have been better. There were helpful leaflets in reception so we could enjoy a walk in the area. We...

We loved this hotel. The staff were excellent, the food tasty with local beers available and the room clean and comfortable. They were very dog friendly, we've a large Ridgeback and she felt like she was at home. There are some terrific walks around Bishops Castle which are well worth doing and we saw lots of Red Kites. It was...

We enjoyed our stay in this dog friendly hotel earlier this year. We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel (Room 6) which was very comfortable with a king size bed and two easy chairs to enjoy the view down the hill. There was a real 'buzz' in the bar which was well frequented by locals as...
