Do not get carried away by the pictures given by the resort. the resort has got one main building with restaurant and two blocks of so called Cottages which is exhorbitantly high priced based on the whole situation. We were not aware about the same and booked rooms in the main building, all the points in the review will go negative. Rooms are filthy, dirty. Fittings are falling down Bathrooms are dirty Toiletries are only a 5 gram soap At least the geyser worked One of our room was almost on a septic tank and our elders were given that room, we had to change the room as it was impossible to sleep with the stench . Swimming pool was dirty. Linen - do not know when washed Towels dirty. the so called cottages are little bit better. DO NOT GO FOR CHEAP PRICE - THEY WILL PUT YOU IN THE MAIN BUILDING…
The Rangamati garden resort is a decent place for a family stay in Shantiniketan. Rooms are comfortable and value for money. My rooms were sanitized on arrival and staff wore masks while serving us. The food was good - i had specific requirements as I was travelling with a kid and the staff did everything possible to meet those specifications. There are totos available outside and one can get a contract for sightseeing. The hotel has a nice mango garden where one can have a pleasant stroll in the morning / evening. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed my stay here and will recommend the place if you are looking for a good ambience, peaceful stay & good food.
Good infrastructure of the property Beautiful place to relax Serene location, outskirts of Bolpur (4km) Food was good Improvement I can suggest is on cleanliness. Staff behavior polite and friendly Booking experience was also good Wifi and power backup was available
Very bad behavior, took extra amount for room, the rooms which is shown on website is not what we get. the rooms are not clean. Foods also not good. My overall experience is bad. I have not recommend this resort to anyone.
Resort is absolutely different from the website description.booked a cottage which was very small.washroom was unclean and didnot have the basic facility of soap!!!.bed linen and bathrom towels unclean and smelly.food was just average but overpriced.in a rural area of birbhum cost for 3 people was 2090 rs. Swiming pool was just like a lotus pond.only good thing was simplicity of the staffs who were local people.rest nothing to mention about.any tourist should visit this property at their own discretion.
overall its good, payment system need to improve. payment machines are not working. Food was good. Pool size is bit small. People behavior is good and co-operative. Ambiance is pretty attractive because of the surrounded by mango tree.
In one of the rooms we discovered that the geyser was kept in the toilet for show only as the electrical connection to the same was never done. At the other room the geyser sprayed water from the inlets whenever they are turned on. Both was shown to your staff and they initially tried to blame in on the mechanic. I would strongly suggest that you decrease your energies in creating a online interface and sending about 7 emails to a customer for a single booking (which I feel is too much) and increase your vigilance in the basic aspects of the stay like toilet flash working, geyser working etc. At the end the product or service you deliver is worth much more than the courtesy and smartness !! Hope you have the correct mindset to take this in the customer's perspective, if you are interested to create a long term customer base. Sorry if I seem rude in the above but this is a true feeling. Thanks, Hope …
Pool is open from all sides... no privacy... does not even have a changing room and shower...even a passerby from the main road can see through. Mattress are old and hard with bugs all over... C-7 was my cottage. Urgent need of up-gradation.
Though the name says 'resort', it is a drive-in restaurant with rooms for lodging. It was mostly vacant during my stay in the first week of February. I was visiting places near Bolpur and spent little time at the hotel. It was a neat place with no noise. The veg thali at the restaurant was substantial and reasonably priced but there are no South Indian items on the menu. The fish fry was good, and the egg noodles too. A team of 4-5 young boys formed the staff during my stay. The location near Prantik railway station is convenient.
This place is situated very near to Prantik railway station. The ambiance is good. The food is very good. We stayed for a couple of days during the last week of December. At this time of the year the price is on the higher side everywhere in and around Santiniketan. But apart from that our experience was good.
