Rooms are terrible in ground floor, tiny in size, no space to stand properly and the charges are exorbitant..its a whopping rs 1800 per night....tasteless unhygienic food, place is surrounded by barking stray dogs which comes and take shelter into your balcony, mosquitoes sing to your ears, staffs are unhospitable young fellows, the worst place ever witnessed in shantiniketan...

We booked this hotel using Booking.com and after booking we called them up. They asked for 50% advance which we immediately paid and they confirmed receipt over phone. The amount was confirmed by them to be 6,300/- which is half the final amount. Now when we checked out the final Bill (without fooding) amounted to 14,000/- which they couldn't explain why? Moreover they denied to give receipt of the Rs 7,700/- saying since we booked online we have to get the receipt online which we never got. Now coming to the stay. The rooms were miserably small and is full of mosquitoes. They were not clean and even the wash room was not clean and we had to followup several times to clean the same. The TV has lot of channels but they don't work except some political channel which runs well. The restaurant is setup on the field and is kind of open. We faced storm one of the day and the kitchen was shut down for hours and we didn't get food that we ordered. The food was served in a very unhygienic way beside a drain and with lots of flies sitting on the food. Service was not good. Food was served in plates on which there was a lotus leaf that mostly not plane. So eating on it was not very comfortable. The two pros that i could find out was the location was really good. And there were plenty of water in the washrooms.

I stayed at this place during one of the busiest time tat Shantiniketan/Bolpur experiences in a year - Dol Utsav (Festival of Colours). Had 2 nights stay here. The management made no fuss about late check-in. The food was good and they did not skimp on quantity. They managed to hold onto the quality of the food as well and this deserves special mention since it was probably their busiest time of the year. They served really good all you can eat Bengali meals for lunch and I also saw some varieties of Indian Chinese style dishes going around. We did have to request for extra pillows and blankets but they arrived promptly.

Reasonably good option for people who are opting for low budget hotel. Located in the midst of Sonajhuri Forest. Cleanliness & hygiene might be an issue. They need to improve both cleanliness & hygiene .....

This resort is relatively new, located at sonajhuri. Infact just outside the resort, shonibarer haat happens every Saturday. Also it is not far from viswabharati campus. The rooms are averagely done (in village home style) but well maintained. Service is prompt & courtaeseous and Food is simply excellent.

Well to begin with it's a nice quiet place to relax away from the bustling and fast life in cities. The manager Mr Bubai is very courteous and helpful and in particular honest. The rooms on the ground floor are too small ideal for couples. The proximity to the Saturday Haat is the USP.

Amicably nice and quite, the location is lovely due to its proximity to the Shonibar Haat (in case you are visiting on a weekend). But found the staff quite unhelpful. I asked for an extra blanket, as it was quite cold outside, to which they denied. And often it was difficult to call anyone when required (they were hardly at the reception or elsewhere).

Good place to roam around. Best time is winter. Best thing in that hotel was service and food. Khoai er Hat was the main attraction. Peaceful place. Good for family also. Explore and enjoy lal matir desh with Rabindranath's creation at Roshnai.
