This is a very good place to stay overnight as the view from the rooms is very good. The rooms are big in size and decent and the balcony view for every room is good.

The food provided at this location os very long mitee and of below par quality.

There are few activities like Boating, Speed boat and Rope cycling which are priced reasonably and sufficient for 1 day stay.

There are few cottage rooms apart from normal rooms which are a boat ride away from common public and have restricted access. If someone is looking for privacy then they can book those rooms.

Haritha resort is a nice, cozy resort in the island. The drive is scenic. There are hanging bridges which leads you to the reception complex from the road. Weekend is crowded with locals who also come to enjoy themselves. There are fun activities, like boat rides and games which does not run during the weekdays. There is a jeep safari and the timings can be confirmed from reception.
The cafeteria which is attached to the reception serves breakfast and lunch buffet. Dinner is served in the room on orders placed before evening. However, weekdays since the crowd is less, buffet items are less and sometimes can get finished sooner It is usually a homely cooked food including some non-vegetarian dishes also. There is a vendor beneath the cafeteria selling tea, coffee, snacks, omelets, from morning till evening.
The rooms in the resort are spacious with AC, hot water geyser and basic amenities. An extra cot is provided for a small fee. During the monsoon season the rainwater does enter the room as the glass doors are not properly aligned and also have gap in the railings. The biggest downside is the bad/no cellphone reception and internet connection. So if you have to pay or book for something online, it gets difficult.
We although enjoyed our stay, there was not much to do and look around. Since it was raining, the room was full of water. On the other side of the island the guests had to be evacuated for similar reasons. Buffets ran out of food and not much varieties to boast off. Last day a boat dropped us guests to the road because the bridges were partially submerged in water.
The place would have been much more enjoyable with extended families and friends. Serenity, greenery, water was a plus and could have been a haven if things were better. The place is termed as a eco-resort and the amount of plastic strewn everywhere was pathetic. The place was not clean either.
There is no transport or commutation to the place. Private vehicles do have parking. Hired taxis charge a preposterous amount.

I visited the lake resort with my wife and stayed in the glass cottage in the island for a night. It is a beautiful serene location with no noises except of nature. Must stay if you want isolation and silence in the nature.

This is a state-run hotel and is situated in a beautiful place. Thats it. That is the only plus about this property, its location. Rest everything sucks, literally!! From the service, cleanliness, staff behavior, availability of food.. everything is bad. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. They have a day-pass system for outsiders which essentially spoils the location benefit also as it is so crowded all through the day that you cannot really enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. All in all a very bad stay.

The worst experience of not having water in the lake. There was no prior intimation on the website that the lake is dry and there is no point booking the room. Irony is that there is no accountability from haritha resort managers. The pic posted is worth thousand words and sarcastic.

The island cottage is a great experience. Also the other rooms have a great view. The manager Mr Veerender ji personifies leadership in hospitality sector. He demonstrated "customer comfort always first ". You can enjoy this property to the fullest when you stay here. A day trip with no stay, will not let you explore the natural beauty, scenic locations, sunrise, camp fires, and solace this place offers .

This is less known resort of Haritha situated in Lakhnavaram Lake. Generally people don't stay here and make a day outing here. But its worth staying there. Hotel is situated on s small island in lake making it a very good location. Hotel is reached though suspension bridge (vehicles has to left on road).
Its a small steel structure with 7 A/c rooms on ground floor and a restaurant on 1st floor.
(For best room see tips on room section).
Its best suited for a relaxed weekend.
Activities:
Its a very scenic place between mountains with greenness. Boating options are available. Paddle boats are also available with usual motor boats. Note boating is maintained by a private guys and usually they close it by 4:30pm. So you might want to plan that way.
About 2 km from resort is a small water canal, its a very good picnic spot. We went there early morning. You can even get into water and get wet :-).
Service:
Service is Good, as not many rooms and still go unoccupied, staff gives good service whenever there is one. Though options for food are fixed and very limited, staff serve it with very Jolly mood.
Note: There is no mobile connectivity in Hotel except for Airtel. (Even no landline connection).

This review is mainly for Laknavaram Lake view resort on the island. There are 2 wooden cottages and 2 glazed cottages (cheaper) on the island maintained by Telangana Tourism. We were two couples traveling and booked two glazed rooms for 1 night.
Don't expect a grand welcome like the private resorts. Check-in was ok in the main building/restaurant, had to carry our own luggages from the main building to the boat point. As expected, our room was not ready and housekeeping staff was nowhere found. Finally one of the "maintenance" guys took care of it. The first impression of the room was awesome. Bed was good, lcd tv with cable and a nice bathroom with a geyser. So you pay only for the room. Pickup and Drop by boat is included. You need to pay for boat ride if you ever want to step out of the island. However, there is a boat every 15 mins or so. You can order food to be delivered from the restaurant at the main building or you can dine in, but have to pay for the boat ride. Even breakfast is not complimentary. There will be staff available on the island 24/7 and there is a RO water plant on-site. The island is well protected with mesh fencing but there are open spaces here and there.

During night, we did see many flies attracted to the lights and we avoided them by closing the doors all the time. But they sneak in whenever you open the door. As someone else pointed, I think it gets worse during monsoon period.

Our biggest issue was that the glazed rooms didn't have any lock on the glass doors. We were told that they are being replaced with new ones so we had to sleep with the doors unlocked.

Some might not feel safe as there are only 4 cottages on the island and with only 2-3 staff around.

Pros:
- Beautiful lake
- Nice rooms
- Affordable
- must visit for couples/families
- nature lover's paradise

Cons:
- Boat ride charges to and fro - I think it should be complimentary at least for the guests.
- glazed cottages with no lock, hopefully they are fixed by now.
- maintenance must be improved.
- missing the "secured" feeling during night.
- not well organized like private resorts.
- no microwave so you are dependent upon staff to drink some tea/coffee.

Overall, it's very good considering that it is maintained by government but could be better. I would definitely recommend it if you are going with a large family or at least two couples. I would suggest to bring insect spray and extra food or snacks for kids.

Before I start justifying my rating (Terrible) for Haritha Hotel, Laknavaram, let me first tell you all that Laknavaram, as a tourist spot, is really good. The nature, greenery, the walk on the suspension bridge, the night sky filled with stars and the feeling of being secluded from civilization in the island - all are fabulous!!

Now, coming back to the point- it was a horrible experience to stay at the resort overnight. We booked an AC room online and upon reaching the place, we discovered that the AC wasn't working. The immediate view from the room was fantastic as you can see the lake, however, the moment we looked around, everything was not pleasant. The entire room had a lot of holes up on the ceiling and also on the walls, the bathroom was not clean and the door made a lot of noise while opening and closing. However, my wife and I was still okay with the good nature around. But as the evening approached, that happiness turned into a nightmare.

We took a walk on the lawn and did boating there in the afternoon and it was a good experience, however, the moment we got inside our room we were dumbstruck. The room was filled with millions of insects, and there was no way we could clean them. The window was closed, and it's still it's a wonder how did they manage to get in! I called the room service and he promised to come over in 5 mins but arrived after an hour and swept the room. No sooner had he disappeared, we faced another terrible element. A rat- yes- a rat, a big sized one jumped on my wife from the hole up on the ceiling, making her scream to the extreme. That's when we realized the mystery of so many holes. And trust me me, it continued whole night!! Neither we could sleep, nor we could be in any peace. When we complained to the management, the supervisor there replied to me- "haan, rats are very common here, sir", as if rats in the room is their USP of running business. I had to literally injure a rat with my shoe to save myself. There are countless rats in the "resort" and they chewed our bed sheet, swallowed an apple partially, and kept running through the bed and the room all night, and we literally felt helpless like anything.

In case if you are planning for this place, please ensure you don't stay overnight in the Haritha Resort.

6 families went ahead to laknavaram, haritha hotel. We booked 6 rooms out of which three rooms had balcony. Food is definitely good. The breathtaking view of the lake, birds, sunrise, sunset, boat ride, island view...if you are a nature lover, you will love the place. The staff were hospitable ..we even entered their kitchen to marinate chicken which we barbecued later in the night. Hotel is reached through a suspension bridge. If you are travelling by car, you will have to park the car in the main road. Rooms and bathrooms are neat. Only during night you will feel completely isolated. As we went with friends, for us it was something which we really wanted. We had bonfire, played cards.anthakshari..and no one to disturb us. Its worth a visit.
