Dove Meadows is celebrated by guests for its exceptional service, with many describing the staff as friendly and the campsite as spotlessly maintained. The value is a point of praise, with its reasonable pricing and ideal pitch spacing in a fantastic location that offers easy access to nearby beaches and attractions like St Michael's Mount.

Detailed Reviews
Small, quiet site in a brilliant location, within easy walking distance of St Michael’s Mount. We loved this little oasis of calm, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Cornish roads. Ours was a late booking but the owners went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. On arrival, the location of all the facilities was pointed out to us by the owner, she also made us aware of the procedures in place to protect us from COVID-19. The shower block was always immaculate, as was the washing up area. Throughout our stay we felt very safe!
A couple of takeaways visited while we were there, which is always a bonus when you’re cooking on a two ring hob. The site itself, was well maintained - grass cut, many flowers and shrubs throughout and lots of little touches around which indicate that the owners really care about the level of service they are offering. Dove Meadows makes the perfect setting for a relaxed holiday - we will be back

We stayed at Dove Meadows for just 2 nights, to attend an unexpected family function - and were lucky enough to get a very last minute booking. We were warmly welcomed by Kim, Amanda, Al and Steve, and can honestly say we were treated as if we were friends from the second we arrived. The site is just about perfect, in that it is immaculate, quiet, with spacious pitches and adheres to all the appropriate Covid secure guidance - We felt extremely safe. It is a short walk into Marazion and of course St Michaels Mount. We cannot recommend Dove Meadows highly enough, and look forward to returning for a proper holiday. Thank you all.

Just returned from a wonderful week long stay at this fabulous site.
Lovely warm welcome from the super friendly staff.
We were lucky enough to be given pitch 29 which was huge, gave us sunshine all day and even had a view of the top of the mount 😃
The whole site is kept immaculate with very large pitches and some lovely hedging for added privacy.
The facilities were excellent, deep cleaned daily and all the Covid precautions still in place.
Location is fabulous, short walk down a quiet lane and you have the beach, town, bus stops and cycle path.
Easy level cycle on route 3 took us to Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole.
Bought a day pass for the bus, hop on and off any bus all day for £5
Excellent fish and chips from the visiting van that comes to site a couple of evenings a week.
If you are looking for a small, peaceful, value for money site in a beautiful location then dove meadows ticks all the boxes.
Can’t recommend this site highly enough👍

This is a small site , walking distance to st Michaels mount and Marazion , which is great. All Grass pitches, no hard stands , We were told we had to use our on board facilities ( motorhome ) which is fine by us, but you need to be sure you can , before using this site as they are very strict, can’t use the toilet even ! I was stopped on my way and told off by a lady ( Jean ) , I felt like a naughty schoolgirl. I am not sure of the reason , could be corona virus but as we stayed on 2 other sites on the way down and they didn’t have this rule it’s puzzling . I took a peak at the showers and toilets ( I didn’t use them jean honest😉) very basic and 50p to shower briefly , It does the job though . I did see people from caravans etc use facilities but early mornings before they were policed . No motorhome service point either, and with two people having a shower daily the waste water tank quickly fills and your not allowed to empty anywhere on site . We would stay again though .

Dear Soulfixns. Thanks for taking the time to review our site. After an extensive risk assessment in line with government guidelines, we felt it necessary to minimise the use of facilities at our site to allow for adequate cleaning and social distancing given the current public health climate. Under normal circumstances the facilities are for use by all, and we have a separate ladies and mens block. Every effort will have been made to make you aware of the current restrictions before you arrived, they are published on our website under our COVID-19 section and customers are advised of this also when they arrive, therefore we do reserve the right to remind guests who are not adhering to the guidelines we have placed, in order to keep everyone safe. We are a little puzzled regards your comment on waste water as we have two disposal points on-site. We look forward to welcoming you to site again, when the Covid restrictions have been lifted and life is all-round a little easier. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Dove Meadows

The kind and friendly greeting on arrival was maintained throughout my 4 nights camping. The site is immaculate and with a great shower facilities. Deep clean is done at 11am so its not closed at peak times and caravan/camper van owners with their own facilities are not permitted to use it. Sanitiser is provided everywhere even by the waste bins which are also kept tidy and clean. Top marks I will be returning.

Thank you for your lovely review and for taking the time to do so! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and felt safe with our covid prevention measures in place. We do hope that we can reopen our facilities for everyone to use once it is deemed safe to do so, but for now we felt the system we have in place is the safest set up we could offer. We are pleased it worked well for you! Our lovely staff do such a great job of looking after everyone, we hope to welcome you back again soon.

+1
From the moment we arrived we had a very warm and informative welcome by the wardens Alan and Kim. Alan assisted with pitching our camper and explained where everything was on site, nothing was too much trouble.
Throughout our stay it was clear the site is very well looked after as the grounds were very well maintained and the facilities spotless. Covid safety guidelines well adhered to, we felt very safe.
The site is very good value for money and the location perfect as close to the beach (5 minutes walk at most) with the magnificent St Michaels Mount in the bay, and the town about 10 minutes walk away.
We would highly recommend a stay at Dove Meadows and will certainly be returning when we can.

We sadly were only able to stay one night but we were so impressed we will definitely return. The campsite was immaculately kept with very generous pitches. We were warmly welcomed by Lily and shown to our pitch, we didn’t like the location and asked to move and this was arranged with no fuss. The showers were exceptionally clean, they do cost 50p but was more than happy to pay as the price to stay was so reasonable. Very well organised bin area with lots of recycling 👍. It’s a very short walk into Marazion or a flat walk on the coastal path to Penzance. The whole site felt very safe and lots of hand sanitiser was dotted around, the owners have worked hard to make it Covid safe. We can’t wait to return.

We recently stayed at the campsite for three nights and can’t recommend it enough . I agree with a previous review that all the blue and white branding looks fabulous and really gives the impression that it is a well loved and looked after site (which it is).
The showers cost 50p and are well worth it , lots of space , really hot and very clean . There is a fridge to buy milk etc ., you can even buy plants at the site entrance and when we stayed there was a mobile cafe which was great .
The pitches are a great size (very reasonable prices) we were in a motorhome and didn’t feel overlooked at all , easy to hook up and fill up with clean water and there is also grey waste and chemical toilet area along with the usual washing up space if you need it .
The campsite is really quiet and as I have said it’s really well kept the grass is in super condition the plants , hedges are all green and really lush .
We felt really looked after Kim and Al were so helpful and had some great tips about the area .
The campsite is a short walk to the beach , town centre and St Michaels Mount the views are stunning . We even cycled over to Penzance for lunch one day . It was so nice we didn’t want to leave to go to our next stay we would quite definitely go back if we are in the area again . If you want a nice quiet , well kept, friendly , helpful campsite in a beautiful area then Dove Meadows is for you , thanks again for such a great stay .

We are touring around Devon And Cornwall for a month in our motor home.
We stayed at Dove meadow for three nights and I can honestly say this is the best site so far. In fact I’d say the cleanest site we have ever stayed at… including cmc sites… you need 50p for the shower which lasts for about 7 minutes.
It’s just what we love… a quiet, spotless, dog friendly site….. perfect
Well done to to everyone

This was our first visit to this nice smallish site and we were not disappointed. The location is sheltered and pitches are a good size. Some are slightly sloping so levelling blocks could be handy. Immaculately clean facilities are within easy reach though EHU is limited to 10 amps - we forgot this and tripped the circuit breaker a couple of times but quickly adjusted our usage.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
There are several grassy areas to walk dogs within a couple of hundred yards and of course there is the large and lovely Marazion beach just five minutes walk away. Awesome view to St Michael’s Mount and Penzance.
Dove Meadows is now my go to site in Cornwall. Thank you for a lovely stay.
