Don't use Booking.com to book you room here. It costs significantly more to use this service as the Hotel recoups the commission that Booking.com charges them by turning 'bed and breakfast' into just 'bed'. The argument that they recoup the commission by removing the breakfast was just slightly too rehearsed, so I presume its something that the hotel staff deal...

We offer a variety of rates from room only to bed & breakfast depending on time of year and type of room. We do encourage all of our guests to book direct so they get the best possible rates. I am really surprised that you did not appreciate the coffee machine as our guests rave about the opportunity to have...

Having visited Cornwall for many years, and eaten here in the past, we decided to treat ourselves to a few nights stay in the hotel. Brilliant decision- lovely room - very well appointed, queen size bed, lovely bathroom with walk-in shower and free-standing bath, tea/coffee making facilites(with 'proper' coffee machine) with fresh milk in the small fridge. The meals are...

The hotel staff were very helpful, when our bike lock broke, Ellie rang the local people to help and a builder came and cut through the lock for us. We weren't staying in the hotel but the staff were excellent and could not do enough to help.

Overall an excellent venue. Popped in 3 times last week and the service was excellent, as was the food. I have one gripe. The girl on the door, im sure she's very nice but she has no awareness of anything around her. She's very loud and spends most of her time mucking about with staff. I work in hospitality myself...

I am really sorry if you found Crystal our Front of House Manager to be loud. This is a essential part of her personality, she is excellent at motivating the staff and much loved by the guests. Although I can understand your concerns, i would hate her to lose this part of her personality and not be her exuberant self.

We stayed for three nights 28th-30th April. Hotel had a total refurbishment in 2014 and is bright and modern. Restaurant has a huge window looking straight over the sea to St Michael's Mount, the beach is directly below the hotel and the view can't be matched. Our room spotlessly clean and with every comfort. The staff were cheerful and nothing...

The hotel was beautiful and well kept. We were in room 2 which has a side entrance which was great for coming and going quietly. Restaurant in the hotel had wonderful food and if you get a chance order room service and hope the bubbly waitress serves you. Thing to note about room 1 and 2 is they have the...

This was my first stay at the Godolphin since its huge re- vamp just over a year ago, and the work the owners have done is amazing. Downstairs, the whole area has been opened up creating a bright and airy space, with breathtaking views out over St Michaels Mount and Mounts Bay towards Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. Everywhere is stripped...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Godolphin Arms is on the water’s edge of Mount’s Bay along a two mile stretch of beach in the historic market town of Marazion, West Cornwall. It overlooks the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, with one of the most magnificent beachside views in the country.Following a major renovation inside and out, the Godolphin Arms has recently reopened its doors unveiling a warm and welcoming beachside inn – a place to eat, drink or stay and explore the unspoilt beauty of the South West coast. Our stunning coastal location has inspired the design, bringing the natural beauty of the beach outside in with relaxed, mellow living spaces and a stunning centrepiece - a two storey light-bathed glass and zinc dining area opening out onto a balcony upstairs and a terrace downstairs. Walk straight in off the beach to our colourful and chilled-out beach bar, linger on the beachside terrace with friends or relax and unwind on the comfy sofas and chairs by the woodburner. Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce.Whether you choose to eat, drink or stay in one of our ten en-suite bedrooms, the team will be delighted to welcome you and will do all they can to ensure your stay with us is both memorable and enjoyable. ... more   less
