A really friendly pub, excellent food and the beer was very good. The staff were all very helpful especially the landlord Phil. We have stayed here before and we have always found it very good value and very comfortable

Booked in for two nights, on arrival the pub area seemed fine,an old building, a "real" pub with log fire and friendly greeting. The decor/ambience seemed acceptable. Then it all changed when we were taken through the door to the stairs to the accodomation. Very dirty carpet, very old decor, still we thought, the room would be alright - reading...

We stayed for 2 nights in January 2015 and were extremely disappointed at the very low standard of our room in every respect. It was such a small double room that it hardly could fit our dog bed in. On the contrary our friends who paid the same price as us - £80 per night - had a huge room...

My husband and I called in for a drink and also for me to reminisce as it had been more than 30 years since I was last in this pub, 1982 to be exact!!! The landlord at the time was Arthur Chaney and it was lovely to see that it has stayed in the family with his daughter Rita now...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights over the Xmas/New year break. The landlords are first class and the staff are very helpful. We ate here on both nights and the food was top notch and very well priced. The rooms are a little old but still very warm and comfortable. If you're in Grassington I would recommend...

We have just returned from a two night stay. Unfortunately the worst place we have stayed in. Staff on arrival were poor and not very welcoming. We were in room 12 which was up 31 stairs and we feel this was really only suitable for one person, not two. No heating in the room and even after we complained this...

The first holiday we had with our puppy, everyone was so nice and kind to us and to Skye. Grassington is a lovely village and some great walks were to be had from the doorstep. The pub is how a pub should be - open fire, good beer, darts, football, good chat, lots of atmosphere. Good sized room and big...

Had two nights here recently and booked a double room en suite. The room was quite small and at the front of the pub. It was also directly over the bar. There is obviously little insulation between the pub ceiling and the bedroom floor as it was very noisy at night. The bathroom was large but had cobwebs in the...

Stayed overnight whilst walking in the Dales. Pre booked at a reasonable price. My room was up a number of flights of stairs and considering it was a double room was quite small. Basicly clean but with dusty skirtings etc. Bathroom was clean and reasonably modern with a good shower. Although it didn't bother me too much, my room was...
