We had a one night break here and we're very impressed. The room (suite) had been beautifully refurbished. A very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. We stayed in one of the two dog friendly rooms and we were made to feel very welcome. Staff extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Wifi virtually non existent however I found this...

Had breakfast here today. Eggs Benedict was great, coffee and juice thrown in for the price. The service was great, friendly and efficient. Had the Sunday papers too! Would recommend this for walkers.

Managed to get lucky and park outside the hotel as parking can be an issue in this charming market town but there is a large public car park not too far away 1/2 mile. Very friendly greeting and quickly showed to our lovely spacious recently refurbished room which was a suite and very good value £120 per night for two...

Called in after a walk. Bar staff very welcoming indeed. Good selection on beers. It happend to be pie week so we had the steak and ale and cheese it was so good , not the cheapest but it was nicely flavoured. Lovely decor and plenty of room inside very comfy seating inside and log burners. Give it a try.

Stopped for lunch after a long walk. We hadn't booked and got the distinct impression that we were being provided with a big favour by being offered a tiny table in the corner although the restaurant was only half full. The food was very good and a joy to eat, but didn't feel very welcome.

The hotel has been totally refurbished since the last time we stayed. Great decor. Wonderful staff and really delicious food. We enjoyed our break so much so that we booked another stay while we were settling the bill!

I was a bit apprehensive after reading reviews. Called in for a drink and decided to stay for Sunday lunch (after husband had checked out the food being served) we decided to go for it. The place was packed and had to look out for a vacant table, once we were settled we ordered and told it was a 40...

we have been going to this pub for years and love the village and the lovely countryside around it. Since the pub changed hands a few years ago the food hasn't been the same. The roast meat is what I call "sliced" if you know what I mean rather than carved from a joint roasted on the premises. The rest...

We had a lovely stay at the Grassington. Couldn't fault the room which has recently been refurbished to a high standard and in keeping with the country feel. Only slight criticism was the evening meal we had in the restaurant was a little disappointing. Would definitely recommend and happily return!
