We stayed here as a walking party of 6 adults, 3 couples. There were 2 ensuite double rooms and 1 double room with a bathroom over the landing which was solely for the use of that room. We had that room which was spotless but decor slightly dated. The bathroom was lovely, spacious with powerful shower and a lovely deep... More

Many thanks for your comments. Sorry you drew the short straw as far as the room was concerned. You're probably one of the last guests to use that particular bathroom.....the new owners intend to have it just for themselves! More

Excellent B and B. Wonderful hosts and they couldn't do enough to help. We had some car troubles and to make sure we didn't lose precious time on the sunny day, Mr Isaac offered to drive us many miles to Fountains Abbey. Wonderful breakfasts and very comfortable rooms. We will gladly show Mr and Mrs Isaac round our part of... More

The pleasure was all ours. We are looking forward to when we may be able to enjoy some Canadian hospitality, hopefully in the not too distant future. We just hope we do not have your hire car experience! We'll keep you posted! Best wishes. D&G. More

Stayed at Raines for the 1940 weekend. As usual David and Geraldine were the perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble, the rooms are lovely, bright, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately that was or last stay at Raines as David and Geraldine are retiring. It was always a pleasure to join other other guests in the dining room for David's excellent... More

Julie with comments like yours its enough to make us think about doing a U turn.....almost! But enough is enough: time to leave it to others! We've had a great time and met some wonderful people and had a laugh along the way. What more could anyone want? Thanks again. We look forward to keeping in touch via Cobblestones Cottage... More

A friendly greeting by David and Geraldine on arrival, and carried our case to the en-suite room which was first class. Breakfast (also catered for my wife who is Gluten free) was served in the lovely dining room with beautifull views from the window in a very relaxed atmosphere. There is good parking facilities. The B&B is just a short... More

Wow is the only way to explain our stay at Raines close, David and Geraldine were extremely friendly, hospitable, welcoming and helpful. We felt right at home, such a relaxing trip, an absolute scenic and heavenly area (surroundings). The couple retires in 2 months time, get in before they hang their aprons for good, a B&B not to be missed.... More

Thank you for being such wonderful guests. It's a pity we are retiring as it would be a pleasure to welcome you back to our establishment. Nevertheless Grassington is a great place to visit so please come back to the area again. I'm sure your parents would enjoy it too. Very best wishes to you both. David & Geraldine. More

Home from home accommodation, rooms clean and well equipped, very friendly and welcoming. Excellent choice for breakfasts. Good car parking on the property. In walking distance of the village for an evening meal. We will certainly return.

This was an ideal place for a visit to Grassington. The B&B is outside the busy centre in a peaceful setting overlooking the river. Our room had windows onto a beautiful garden, was spotlessly clean & had ample supplies of biscuits, tea, coffee (including decaf), & flasks of fresh milk each evening. The breakfasts were excellent - & service friendly... More

Raines Close is a clean, pleasantly appointed, well-run and well-situated B & B for those who want to relax and enjoy the pleasures of Grassington and environs.
