My partner and I had booked to stay at the Sonachan for one night to break up our journey. We ended up getting the early ferry to Kilchoan which we were quite pleased with. We passed the B&B at around lunchtime and nobody was to be seen. We had thought it was lunchtime so maybe they would reopen at about... More

This restaurant is so unreliable as whenever you go there your taking your chance whether it's closed contrary to what the signs say at the end of the drive! We have visited the area for years and this place gets more unreliable everytime. It's for sale so hopefully the next owners give a damn.

We ended up here when it was too late to drive all the way to Glencoe. So called and got a really good deal for an ensuite room! Good beds and big shower! In the middle of nowhere there was this charming b&b with two lovely girls helping us! Giving us recommendations about walking trails! So lovely! I was so... More

You want to get as remote as possible in scotland then come here. Run by a young manager this place has a cool and out of the way vibe to it. Its inexpensive and the rooms are clean and modern. There are sheep running around the front yard and its close to nothing but the wildest country you'll find this... More

Last week my sister and I were on holiday near Strontian and decided to head off to the Arnamurchan Lighthouse and Sanna Bay. The weather was pretty awful very wet and grey so we stayed over one night at The Sonachan B&B. You have to adjust your expectations somewhat when you get there. The staff are really delightful, young and... More

Really disappointed by lack of service at Sonachan. We had a lunch there which was very pleasant but service was poor. We decided to give it another go as it was recommended by the owners of our holiday house. We had a lovely meal followed by absolutely no opportunity to have coffee or desert. We had an endless wait for... More

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. I'm pleased that you enjoyed our food here but disappointed to hear we let ourselves down on service. At the beginning of this week we completed essential training for our front of house staff and will be working harder to make sure that the customer gets all... More

During our trip on the Ardnamurchan peninsula we had a lunch at this restaurant. A small terrace and very friendly server. For my partner prawns and crab claws salad, for me the lical scallops with garlich sauce. It was simple but very good. We enjoyed our meal.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. It's always nice to hear that folk are enjoying the local food as much as we enjoying providing it. Hope to see you again. Thanks, Sheen More

We have just spent three nights at the Sonachan. The room was lovely;clean with comfortable beds and a decent shower. The situation is ideal for visiting the beautiful beach at Sanna and for the ferry to Tobermory from Kilhoan. Food was very good and the staff friendly. As other reviewers have mentioned don't rely on the chef being there every... More
