Thank you so much for the warm welcome and friendly service - even allowing the use of your deep freeze. We really enjoyed our stay and the very good breakfasts. Excellent staff service - Thank you all

Kindness and courtesy from the time of arrival until departure. A perfect recommendation for a comfortable, nice, chilled and relaxing weekend away. Hosts Mike and Senzo so very accommodating and pleasant and went more than the extra mile to ensure we had a fabulous stay! And we did!

Having fallen in love with Clarens on a previous trip, but not the accomodation we lived in, we decided to try a B&B and not a self catering house for us and our friends. Ash River Lodge will now be our accomodation of choice when coming to Clarens. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful and the...

It is a wonderful place to stay with breaktaking views and you feel immediately relaxed. Clarens is a lovely location and I would definately recommend it. Mike made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed talking to him. Stayed for two nights as part of 4 week trip to South Africa.

We experienced a mess up with allocation of one of our rooms due to the fact that one of the rooms were not ready upon arrival. Rooms are not sound proof so inconsiderate guests did contribute to a non peaceful sleep. The shower doors in one of our rooms did not close properly and the tap of the basin was...

The stay was very comfortable, and Senzo at reception very friendly and welcoming. On overall comment is that the building needs some work- cracked window in the dining room, cracks in the walls (room 8) and roof leaks in the room and on the patio. Also the clear roof sheeting on all the verandahs clearly has hail damage and should...

Always a pleasure to visit Ash River Lodge. Spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable and elegantly furnished. Impeccable service and wonderful hospitality and of course a scrumptuous breakfast daily. Breathtaking view from the deck. All in all a brilliant stay.

The Ash River Lodge is one of my favorite BnB's I've stayed at. It's located just a short walk from the main downtown square of Clarens, and has a very nice porch with a view. Mike was super helpful and breakfast in the morning was terrific!

EXCELLENT STAFF. Room not in good shape. 1. Doors difficult to open / close because of jamming, ill fitting or warped. Door to patio lock kept jamming. 2. Ceiling very poor, water damaged and peeling. 3. Extractor fan very noisy. 4. Hail holes in roof on both patios (upstairs and downstairs). (these are old as can be see by the...
