Attended a wedding at St Fort recently. Such a beautiful venue and location for the perfect destination wedding. We did not stay at the guest house but had a quick look at one of the units. Beautiful , spacious and looked well kept. One of the highlights for me was seeing the bridal party arrive on an old farm Tractor...

St Fort Country House is perfectly located near to Clarens, only 8min drive. The old farmhouse has grand rooms with picturesque views of the mountains all around. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was surprisingly warm. There are lovely walks to be taken from the farmhouse. Be sure to take some extra carrots for the friendly Donkeys.

The farm is located just outside Clarens (+/- 5km) out on the Fouriesburg road (R711). Although it is not a commercial farm any longer, it still has the style and feel with the animals and farm buildings around. Several rooms are available including self catering but serviced. It is a great place for children with the animals around, open space,...

We truly enjoyed our stay at St Fort. We booked the garden cottage and it has everything we need for a tranquil, technology-free weekend. The cottage is well equipped, from hair dryer, electric blanket and fresh milk. Sophia, who welcomed us, is very friendly and accommodating. The house is located a few km away from the Clarens town, and is...

I went to a cousins wedding at St Fort, Clarens and it is a wedding that people will be talking about for years to come. Every little bit of the wedding was wonderful and the venue is so well set up for any kind of request. This wedding allowed children and there was so much space and things for them...

Having just completed a team build on the Cannibal Trail, I can honestly say that the trip was a huge amount of fun especially for a novice hiker like myself. This review applies to the trail itself and not St Fort country house itself. Day 1 included arrival at St Fort and accomodation in 1 of the 2 dormitories (oxwagon...

From distant view, upon approach.....to first glimpses of homestead and gardens while motoring up the long drive......and later, wandering through those rooms threaded with fascinating and absorbing history... we were drawn in by the beauty of this place. A tray of freshly brewed coffee greeted us upon arrival and it was served in our magnificent bedroom – which offered views,...

We booked the cottage for a peaceful get away from it all weekend after a hectic Christmas. St Fort couldn't be better - quiet and secluded, just outside of Clarens, with a fantastic view of the mountains and the mushroom plus a lovely garden to walk and chill in. All in all the perfect base to explore Clarens and the...

We booked out the whole house for a few days in December. It's a beautiful house (10 minutes or so from Clarens on the Fouriesburg road) set in a stunning garden with an amazing view. The rooms are great (if you don't book out the whole house try and get the main suite), the staff are friendly and there are...

What a beautiful place and venue for a wedding. the mountains in the background, the scenery and a well kept farm. The guest house is quaint and pretty and was able to accomodate the whole wedding retinue. Conrad's attention to detail was amazing and between him and his staff they made sure the wedding weekend was as fabulous as we...
