This place is pretty weird, especially the restaurant. But it is relatively clean. They do not provide towels, or toilet paper, or bottled water, you have to ask for all these things and they charge for them. They do not offer to clean the room. Hot water isn't very hot, and of course water pressure is lacking. We stayed in 4 rooms for 4 nights for a wedding. The location is good because it's far from the noisy street. Best part about this hotel is that some rooms have little heaters. It gets pretty chilly at night and these were very nice. However only two of the rooms had them, and one just up and stopped working. The restaurant, where you get your complimentary breakfast, is nice I guess but no one speaks English really, and even when they do understand you, you have to say it 4 times. You will order something and get something completely different. We had dinner there one night, and (as an example) there were 6 of us, and the waiter took orders from four people and then WALKED AWAY. We had to call him back to take the other 2 orders. It took literally 10 minutes to explain we wanted to start with naan. Is some of this just India? Not sure, this was the first place we stayed. Just got the idea that they were mystified by us as well and couldn't wait until we left. And the best experience of all, when we were checking out, I had asked the previous day if we could stay an extra night (we were all totally exhausted from the MARATHON wedding). The guy said yes. As I'm standing there, ready to check out, with my credit card in my hand the ACTUAL manager (whom we had never seen before and who spoke perfect English) sternly told me that we had stayed an extra night and needed to pay for it. I did say, "Why do you think I'm standing here with my credit card in my hand??" This is a good metaphor for the whole stay.…

First time I was on business tour to Gorakhpur & this was my first stay in Hotel Vivek for 5 days 4-8 April 2018. Unfortunately the hotel owner passed away on 4 April 2018. May his soul rest in peace. Must say that the hotel was good and nice Vivek campus hotel at heart of the city. If interior and exterior renovation of the hotel done, this would be the fantastic hotel. Breakfast was fantastic & nicely served. Scope of improvement: youngsters to be employed at serving. Location: Heart of the location. So giving 3 star. Front office executive were good. No WiFi / No water bottle were served on daily basis. No tea heater, no tea bags. No brush , no soap, no towel. Thanks for the hospitality offered during the stay & would stay again again.

It’s decent hotel in large compound In main town Lawn and greenery will makes you happy and calm It’s old “Kothi” of surgeon now converted in hotel with modern facility and room up-gradation with quality lighting and modern Amities Room is good , inter-come, cable with Tv ( tv is small as compare to rim size and bed position ) Big TV needed Small fridge, tea maker is there in room Toiletries is given but very funny to know that they provide toothpaste but no toothbrush No shaving kit Need improvement , it’s pathetic Lift is there but not working in light failure condition Now manpower and hospitality This is negative part of this hotel No welcome Staffs are local and non professional and they show rude behaviour or no response Room service is ok Food quality is so so Quality is too much even when you order half Need quarter for one person ( wastage of food bcoz you can’t eat even half there is 6 pieces chicken in half !!! ) If you love greenery and need calm With decent stay Perfect hotel for you Recommended …

This is a Traditional Family Hotel! Its like home. The owner stays nearby, they take care personally! Big Lush Green Lawn, different than the modern commercial hotels! Many people, wait to get a chance booking for their private parties! Elite Class visit the property!

This hotel is a very old building. Rooms are above average. Food Is Ok.Services are lethargic and not upto the Mark. Staff is not Friendly. No Value for money. Ample parking Space. Can be tried if no other options are available

My club booked this hotel for 3 night stay with my family ,room are big but construction on entire property is very old.rooms are cleaned but tiles color are gone due to old life so looks very dirty, AC making strong noice without manual temp set and remote. toilet is so dirty that u cant even think to use. as per hotel manager all rooms have single + single bed so making double u have to joint them its disgusting.no door or floor mate,no bathroom sleeper,The mattress which was provided felt like dirty and old and pillows are dirty as hell.Dirty sofa and dusty curtains.The staff doesn't have the courtesy to welcome guest. I have lot to say.............. only one thing is good is its restaurant (KHAATIR).

I am to travel to Gorakhpur for official purpose in 3-4 months interval. I was stayed in some hotels previously, but most of them are unclean and unhygienic with a lousy environment and costly also. In my last trip I stayed at hotel Vivek and found the perfect hotel in gorakhpur. The hotel is a very nice property with clean rooms and courteous stuff and yummy food is a plus point. I have to say that is the best available food in gorakhpur. I am strongly recommend the hotel .. just try once .. Thank you hotel vivek for the nice hospitality. Will visit again.

This hotel is situated at bank road, it is average hotel, having big room but it's need maintenance, the hotel also having restaurant at ground, bathroom was dirty, allover the hotel is not worth of money.

Well where to start...We stayed there for one night. The room was big. Ac doesn't have a remote or any knob for that matter, so does the fan. Tap is broken, tons of mosquito. Most electric fixtures have seen better days. The mattress which was provided felt like concrete and pillows are dirty as hell. The staff doesn't have the courtesy of knocking and then coming into the room. Dirty sofa and dusty curtains. Please avoid it like plague.

This hotel is situated near Bank road but not visible from main road,so many people dont know about it. Building have British look from the front. Rooms are ok. Food is ok. But dont go to its restaurant. Service is very very poor. They dont know how to manage problem of a customer. No customer satisfaction approach.
