This is a nice B&B which is very handy for the ferry at Lochboisdale especially if you're coming off the late ferry. It's only 5 mins drive from the port. It's very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. Patsy the owner is helpful and very relaxed. The breakfast is good. The setting is lovely with great picture windows...

I would like to thank Patsy for being such a wonderful host. The rooms were fine. with heat on in summer when Patsy thought you might need it, fantastic breakfasts everyday and an absolute marvel as a host who could not do enough for us. I will recommend Brae Lea House to anyone . Thanks Patsy from the Sydney Irish

Patsy is a kind, friendly and welcoming host, also with great local knowledge. I have stayed with Patsy many times during a spring holiday since 2006. This year I wished to stay on a main road following a fall, but the accommodation was not as advertised-I rang Patsy late that afternoon and she kindly gave me her last room without...

Nice place and made very welcome by Patsy. The rooms were nice and clean breakfasts as good as expected. Was only a short walk to the local hotel for dinner so the Brae Lea House was fine for my needs on my three nights there.

This house is conveniently located within walking distance of the Lochboisdale Hotel for evening meals. Rooms are adequate with ensuite bathrooms. Breakfasts are good with adequate choice and good homely cooking. Owner is friendly and happy to give advice about the island. Would recommend this B and B as a convenient location both in terms of the short distance from...

Due to bad weather our ferry was cancelled, and Bra Lea came to our rescue. Greeted by Patsy with a very friendly welcome as we came in from the pouring rain. A comfortable, clean and warm room awaited us. Patsy was very helpful and arranged a reservation at the local Loch Boisdale Hotel for dinner.

We stayed here for two nights. Everything was clean, comfortable and breakfast was good. We watched a bit of TV in the common room. A local hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the property. The food there is unremarkable but it is about the only choice. It's easy enough to access if you are touring South Uist.

Only had one night here and it was quiet and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was ok too. It's about a 10 minute walk from the nearest hotel which serves evening meals. Comfortable enough but honestly, nothing remarkable. Probably would not return

we went to Brae Lea House as it was advertised as wheel chair accessible. We also phoned ahead to check this. As a 75year old disabled person I could NOT have propelled myself up the steep slope. The bathroom had a bed so close to the door that I could not get in easily. There were no grab rails in...

The write up for this B and B as well as a phone call assured us that it was wheel chair accessible. Yes there was a slope by the back door but any chance of self propelling was out of the question as it was too narrow and very steep, much too dangerous for pushing down. Corridors were dark narrow...
