We recently stayed at La Carreccia and we can't say enough about the beautiful, relaxing week we had there. As always, Filippo and his wonderful family were so welcoming to us, that the villa truly does feel like going home. The weather was perfect, the surroundings are true Tuscany and just being there for our third visit was amazing! Our... More

Where do I begin? This was our 2nd visit to La Carreccia. We are 2 couples (retirees) who rented both apartments for 3 1/2 weeks. The Martinez family are hospitable and so welcoming. We chose to rent a vehicle from them and took many day trips in Tuscany/Umbria. So many villages and towns to explore and visit. Add wineries, castles... More

We absolutely loved this piece of heaven from the moment we drove in the gate, until the moment we regretfully left for the airport. We were there 9 nights in the Lo Zino suite, which was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. Having rented a car, we used this as a home base from which to explore Assisi, Castiglion Fiorentino,... More

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this delightful villa and if opportunity allows, we will be returning! Filippo picked us up from the train station in Castiglion Fiorentino. On the short ride to the Villa and, during our stay, Filippo shared information about the surrounding area and helped us get our bearings. The apartment we called "home" during... More

We stayed at La Carreccia for one week in June, 2013. It was a wonderful, charming Tuscan Villa. The view from our bedroom window was lovely. The gardens & flowers around the villa are beautiful & we picked lemons from Filippo's lemon trees. Our unit was very comfortable, with all the cooking facilities needed to make our own meals. We... From our initial query by e-mail to the last of our 8-night stay, dealing with Filippo was always a pleasure. He was extremely helpful and responsive to all our inquiries. Our units (little villas!) were wonderfully restored, clean, well equipped and furnished, comfortable and simply lovely. The views from the terrace are what you imagine Tuscany to be. The ambiance... We spent a marvelous week in this beautifully built and maintained Tuscan Villa. This agro-tourism, within view of the town of Castiglion Fiorentino, is in an excellent and accessible location for tourists: South of Arezzo and Florence and North of Cortona. We did easy day trips by train to Florence, and by car to Assisi, Pisa, Cortona and other nearby... More

We stayed at La Carreccia for 10 days in late July 2012. This is actually the 4th time my family has stayed here. The villa itself is beautiful, spotless, and full of Tuscan charm. The family was amazing, helping us with directions and suggestions and we often found fresh fruit and vegetables from the gardens around the property waiting for... More

I highly recommend that you consider this beautiful villa for your next trip to Tuscany, Italy. The fully furnished rooms/apartments are located in a restored Tuscan farmhouse. Imagine waking up and sipping a cup of tea on your own covered patio looking a lemon, orange and olive trees. La Carreccia is run by Fillipo and the Martinelli family and they... More
