We stayed in the Fong Hok (?) cottage, and it was just gorgeous Comfy bed, lovely linen and towels, awesome touches such as their fresh eggs, bacon and even some caramel fudge! It's not a B&B so Graham and Christine don't need to provide this, but they're lovely welcoming people and they run a beautiful set up. We walked down...

Hi Sally. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with TripAdvisor readers. It is certainly reassuring for us, that you had an enjoyable stay--particularly after the previous review. We love the rural region where we live and get immense enjoyment from being able to share it with our guests. I know you had a terrific experience on...

I've had some time to reflect on our stay, and I've read through other reviews, but I just don't agree with the glowing reviews. The hosts are nice people, and I've got a lot of respect for what they've achieved. The site is quiet and peaceful and the cottages are well equipped. We enjoyed using the kayak on the river....

Oh dear, they do say ‘you cannot please all of the people all of the time’. We are sorry MFlint did not enjoy his/her stay with us. (BTW we have no record of MFlint from Sydney staying with us) We have a passion for growing and supplying oriental ilium’s ( and other blooms) to our cottages which MFlint does not...

Stay in Ah Moy and really enjoyed it. Lovely place, well maintained , fully equipped and very clean. Nice walks around to nearby lake and great space for kids to run around. Alpacas just in front of the cottage and host are very nice to let our kids feed and touch the animals. There were eggs, bread and ham provided...

So happy that we stayed in Ah Moy cottage , the cottage was spotlessly clean had everything we needed and more. The hosts Graham and Christine were so lovely friendly and knowledgeable, they have achieved so much and deserve all of the positive feedback. We saw lots of wildlife and wish we were there right now. Big thankyou .

We stayed for 3 nights at the Tin Dragon Trail Cottages and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were a party of 6 and booked one of the 2 bedroom cottages and a spa studio cottage. The cottages were immaculate and very well provisioned - we had no need to buy the condiments we had stocked up on in St...

My wife and I stayed for two nights in January. I picked their 2 night Romantic getaway package and stayed in their Chintock cottage. The cottage was a beautiful brick and stone building surrounded by a native garden. Although the cottages are close together, we still felt like we had complete privacy and that we were the only ones there...

One of the most enjoyable stays we have ever had; we stayed four nights. The cottages are extremely well furnished and equipped. Our bed was very comfortable and warm. The kitchen was well fitted out with quality utensils, an excellent stove and a large, quiet fridge. The interior is tastefully decorated and conveniently furnished. You can just walk in and...

A definite "must stay" for anyone traveling in northeast Tasmania. The cabins have been lovingly restored, are most comfortable, and are beautifully appointed. Be sure to take the Heritage Walk and allow the unique metal work to give you an insight into the lives of the Chinese tin miners who labored on this property so many years ago. Graham, Christine...

In May 2014 I took my partner away for a romantic weekend getaway for our one year anniversary... I am writing this review a year and a half later having just discovered this great site, but felt the need to write about how amazing we found this place! It was peaceful and quiet, the owners lovely and answered any questions...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer romance, seclusion and privacy in fully self-contained two-bedroom and studio spa-cottages each with river views - situated on a 36 acre bush alpaca farm. Each cottage has a private outdoor dining area with bar-be-que and the studio cottages have an outdoor heated spa. Principles of ecological sustainability are combined with the comforts of a luxurious retreat. Your only disturbance might be from the occasional inquisitive pademelon or soaring eagle. This stretch of the Ringarooma River is favored by fly fishermen. Chinese heritage is celebrated with an interpretation centre, landscape art and walking tracks through historic mining and water races. ... more   less
