This is a lovely place to stay. A great location for walking and for visiting York. David and his partner are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are immaculately clean and the breakfast is excellent.

The Lodge is very rural and peaceful but with a shuttle bus into York all day long, open fields and ponies was the view from our bedroom! excellent hosts who go the extra mile. The guest Lounge is a really nice touch, fridge with beer, wine, milk, water, just pop your money in the pot! the decor is very tastefully...

Dear Cathy Thank you for your full marks and pleased you had such a satisfying stay recently at RAVENSDALE Lodge. Although we are very much in a tranquil country location there are hourly bus routes into York With the last one returning at 7pm. There are some superb places to eat in the local villages and I am always happy...

We were made most welcome from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble, the food was excellent, we didn't have to wait long before we ate. David was most kind and picked us up from a family get-together, giving us the opportunity to enjoy our evening, having drinks without having to worry about organising a taxi. I would...

Thank you for submitting such a helpful review. We are delighted you enjoyed your local family gathering recently. As we are so rural I am always delighted to drop off and pick up from the local villages if you wanted to sample the local ales! It's free and all part of my service. If you are in the area again...

My business partner and I spent four nights at Ravensdale Lodge between 22nd and 26th June 2015. Throughout our stay we were made to feel very welcome by our convivial host David. Nothing was too much trouble and David would go out of his way to help in any way he could. I forgot to take my 'phone charger but...

Spent three nights at this B&B and this is the reason we stay in B&B's rather than small hotels . As cyclists and doing two days of hill climbing & long distances - to return feeling weary and being offered a cup of tea and hot cross buns by the hosts was a lovely gesture. Overall the hosts, breakfast, accommodation...
