My first time in Yorkshire. Really welcoming people. Great food. Good breakfasts. Good ales. Room spotlessly clean. Will definitely stay there next time I'm in that area. So much better than a faceless chain hotel. Thank you.

My wife and I went to The George Hotel twice for an evening Meal whilst on holiday. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was really good. The homemade pie was excellent in quality. Would recommend.

The George is a great pub and hotel in a lovely busy village. Recently refurbished, love the new curtains and blinds, and altogether a great makeover. Double glazing means the fairly busy square isn`t noticeable in the bedrooms. Food is always a treat, be warned, go with an appetite, especially if you order their sublime chunky chips! Breakfast is freshly...

10 adults an 18 month old and a baby in a pram! Visited today for Great Grandads birthday. The meal was brilliant, food was amazing. Everyone from 0 to 81 catered for. Kay the landlady looked after us so well. Felt really comfortable. Some of the food we chose was real fine dining stuff but some had good old fish...

The George is a smart pub in Easingwold's lovely marketplace. You can park out front or in the private car park at the rear of the pub. Check in was friendly and efficient - just remember to ask for the wifi code before you go upstairs. Our room (number 3) was spacious and well appointed. An advantage of this room...

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us...but it is always annoying, as an owner, to read on social media that there was a problem with the room, when you were asked on departure if everything had been satisfactory. I cannot explain why water temperatures did not suit you, as no one else has...

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Matt's local rhubarb is not necessarily just rhubarb and custard!

We ate here on New Year's Day, when many local places were closed or only serving residents. The look of the dining room, on the left as you came in, didn't bode well. Lots of grey and horrible 'conference room chairs' made the space very hard and unwelcoming. But the menu! Local sourcing, unpretentious but very creative cooking, generous portions...

Good standard pub/hotel. Food and accommodation was excellent. Friendly owners and a good atmosphere. Great position for exploring this area of Yorkshire. Main bus route into York and Thirsk just across the street.

We were going to pass through the easingwold and wanted some food in a nice establishment without super luxury. Tripadvisor was viewed and proved to be accurate. We thought you may like to know the bar and food was excellent and of a good standard.
