We stayed at the Senesothxeun Hotel from the 15th to the 17th February 2015. The owner, Philippe could not have been more welcoming. We were given an upgraded room with a superb view of the Mekong river and were treated to an evening meal with the other guests on the terrace overlooking the river. The room was superb (the best...

Stayed here two nights. The hotel was quite deserted (low season). Friendly staff, kind manager, who sometimes seemed to be busy with other, more important issues. Great location at the Mekong. Big rooms, good airco, problems with the shower (no curtain, very wet floors), acceptable wifi, nice and tasteful, though little simple and thus overpriced diner. Part of our tour,...

For our one night stay; the staff was totally uninterested in our stay and the hotel looked closed. Unfriendlyness, not clean and out of any help during our stay. This is unbelievable for this kind of hotel. Within a few years this hotel can really be closed...!! Not willing us to help for the proper WiFi code and the breakfast...

I stayed only one night & they were having problems with the plumbing. Soon after I arrived the water totally died, there was no water in the entire hotel & they couldn't get it fixed. We left early the next morning unshowered. Food was also very overpriced. Based on this, terrible, which is sad because the hotel itself is very...

Don Khong was our choice of islands because of it’s quietness and we wanted to “treat” ourselves for 2 nights to the SSX Hotel because it looked lovely. We were hoping the (more expensive) superior rooms had a balcony facing the Mekong but it turned out it was a room with garden view. But this was ok. However, the bathroom...

We spent one night at the Senesothxuen Hotel in October. It is a wonderful treat in southern Laos! All rooms are air-conditioned and the hotel offers free wi-fi. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious room with a private patio overlooking the Mekong River. The furnishings were very nice and everything was spotless – our room and the private bathroom. We...

We arrived at the hotel by boat. Rooms were ok. No connecting rooms. Staff is friendly. During our stay the restaurant only served breakfast (bread & eggs). Down the road there is a small restaurant where we enjoyed dinner. For Don Kho this is probably one of the most comfortable hotels, especially for families. For backpackers there are a lot...

Very large Mekong-view rooms start at $60, with non-view rooms going for $50. All Mekong view rooms have a balcony as well as a bathtub with shower but no shower curtain. Non-view rooms have an enclosed shower only. http://www.ssxhotel.com TV with two English stations including CNN, a minibar (with 2 complimentary bottles of water per day), decent space for hanging...
