Once i reach the hotel, i feel like i was in hill station. Because it took more than 2 hours after getting down from the train. The hotel was run by goa government, so its very cheap. There is no restaurant inside, you have to Bicholim town for food and no public transport available. The room and hotel atmosphere is really good and lake nearby adds up the location.

i and my wife stayed in this resort in an AC deluxe room for 4 nights in September 2014. The location of the property is fantastic overlooking the lake. the restaurant is terrible.no choices for break fast. but if you choose to walk till the lake you will get good food for lunch and dinner. it is good for relaxing. there is hardly ant transport facility to the city or beaches which is around 30 km away.The rooms are damp and the paint and plaster is peeled off i many places. bathrooms are clean.typical govt maintenance. they can make this a beautiful property if maintained properly. good location for natural lovers. not costed for room tariff. staff is courteous. can stroll in the wast property of the hotel. the benches put in the garden over looking the lake is not fit for sitting because of fungus.

we had booked ac occupancy at mayem lake view...we got through honeymoon package..package was really very useful,we almost covered entire sight seeing at goa...amazing lake view from our room ,early in the morning...cleanliness was poor at the room and food was disastrous at the restaurant...we had an fabulous boat riding at the lake for about an hour early in the morning.....'my most terrible experience was we found snails at our bathroom'....that was really scariest part of our trip... GOOD: vehicle allotted for package, schedules of site seeing for 3 days, lake view and garden around the room, boating in lake. BAD:very bad food & drink with very expensive rate in mayem restaurant , get food and drink on your own on the way to mayem,room cleanliness was very poor ,service very poor. TIPS- GET FOOD AND DRINK ON YOUR OWN, START EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR SITE SEEING IN THE PACKAGE,PLAN THE DAY AND NIGHT AT MORNING TO SCHEDULE YOUR TIME.PLAN FOR ANY NIGHT PARTY FROM THE VEHICLE ALLOTTED TO U ON 3RD DAY NIGHT. DON'T TRUST ANY ONE AS THEY SAY IT MIGHT BE GOOD BECAUSE THEY HAVE COMMISSIONS EVERY WHERE THEY RECOMMEND YOU.

I had booked a suite for my wife and two female guests at this resort for check in on 21/05 /2022 qnd check out on 22/05/2022. When they arrived at the resort at 8 pm they found the resort in total darkness . Not a soul was seen there. No security gaurds. When they approached the reception nobody was there to attend to them, After sometime someone appeared and told them that the resort is under renovation so he can provide only accommodation . For food they will have to go to bicholim which quite away from the resort . No other tourists were seen at the resort so my wife decided to cancel the booking and demanded refund. But the person refused and insisted them to stay there . So they left the resort and checked in a hotel in Mapusa

This is one of my worst experiences and now would think twice to book a government hotel.I had called the hotel before leaving to check my bookings and they confirmed it.When I reached Goa to my surprise they had cancelled the bookings as some comissioner wanted that suit.They told me that they e-mailed me the cancellation which I never recieved.They however shifted me to Mapusa residency which dirty rooms,rude staff and all you can imagine in a govt building.
Make sure you call GTDC multiple times after making your bookings online..!!

Thanks for airing this issue with us. When we started the boats, We were not aware of the battery maintenance issues due to the humid weather in Goa which used to get depleted soon. We assure you that although we have high footfalls and credible customers, We have made the place a happening yet affordable one with very little hiccups in very little duration of time
The Cost factor of the Boats is again calculated based upon the Engine Room space and we have now made it a penetration pricing policy for you to exclusively enjoy your stay with Family and Friends at Mayem Lake.

the view form a boat was spectacular surrounded with water and lush green landscape! we visited Mayem lake for boating during our north goa tour. the paddle boats were tiring though but it was fun.
due to lack of time i could not visit the residency premises, but i have sum clicks of lake and surroundings. if you want relaxing holidays, resting and far from urban life than this location is form you. mind that the beaches and other towns are far from here. it is like hill station and yes, dudhsagar waterfall and mollem national park may be nearer form here.
fees for boating is 100/- inr for half in hour and 140/- inr for an hour per boat.

It's quit and serene place. The room was lake view AC room, spacious with clean wash room.I booked it conveniently on internet though after talk with manager who advised AC cottage. Food is average and they didn't have any bread for breakfast. Over all it is a good value for money.

We had visited this place when we had gone for outing to Goa with my entire family . The best thing about the place is the view around. It is surrounded by wood all around and is located by the side of Mayem lake. There are various cottages which can be occupied as per our requirement. Every cottage is extended with a balcony facing the lake . The food offered is good , one should try some fish varieties. The hotel staff again are very helpful. There is a boating available in the lake so children can enjoy that as well. It was overall a nice experience.

we had booked mayem lake view for our 4 days stay...our stay at mayem was average,booked ac occupancy which was average..Food was disastrous at the restaurant..we came through package,that was very useful by seeing entire old and new goa without missing anything....boating experience was too gud enjoyed a lot....lake view was amazing early in the morning...cleanliness was bit poor at mayem lake..
