This a delightful set of cottages, well equipped, great raging log fire, cute interior, games room and was great value (stayed 1st weekend in Dec). Owners are charming and super helpful. A few easy flat local walks from the front door. Plenty of local bird life to watch from the windown and wildlife out and about. A short drive to...

Highly recommended. We were a family party of 16 with ages ranging from 16-81. We used the Tithe Barn mainly for meals and split off to chill with whoever we wanted. Loved the hot tubs and playing board games. Used Owls End for films and TV. Brilliant location for large and small families

Lovely place, would definitely recommend this holiday cottage for families. Great facilities, plenty of room, lovely views and peaceful surroundings. Only downside was the very uncomfortable sofa bed in the lounge to be used if more than 7 people are staying.

I have stayed here 3 times both with friends and family. I absolutely love this place and the Squirrel family are both helpful and friendly. My 6 year old son loved it as does everyone that I have ever brought with me. Hot tub is a brilliant addition and surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. All 3 properties are fully equipped...

We stayed at Owls End with a group of friends, (9 adults) in November 2014. The owners were very helpful and left us tea, coffee, milk and a homemade cake! The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The hot tub and wood burner were great! There are lots of lovely places to visit in the local area and plenty of walks...

We booked Owls End for a "girls" weekend. There were 7 of us in all. Owls End forms part of a group of cottages and if there was a very large group of people it would be ideal. We found the cottage very clean and extremely well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub and the setting beside the moat is...

9 of us and a baby stayed at Owls End and really enjoyed our stay. It is probably more suitable for families than just adults due to the types of bedrooms. There are two rooms with double beds (one ensuite) and a twin room which could be used as a double. There are bunk beds and two beds on the...

Having just come back, we hired all three cottages for a big family break (23 of us). I had been here before so knew we were in a very secluded spot. On arrival we found that the cottages were infested with flies (especially the kitchens, which was a real pain when trying to prep food etc) so ended up having...

Had no idea these holiday cottages were here. The owners showed our family around all accommodation in preparation for a wedding weekend we have booked. Setting is lovely, owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Ideal if you want to take your whole family away as we are. Can't wait to stay there very soon....

We hired Owl's End (sleeps 10) and Willow Cottage (sleeps 4) at Wattisham Hall for a 30th birthday family celebration in March 2014. On arrival we were overwhelmed by the beautiful setting, the stunning barn conversion of Owl's End, the lovely decor, and the thoughful touches throughout both properties. The master bedroom in Owl's End was particularly special - with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Wattisham Hall Holiday Cottages, set in the heart of rural Suffolk, these tastefully converted barns offer a superior self catering holiday on a working farm, ideal for families, couples and friends looking to get away from it all. The cottages are surrounded by an ancient moat with plenty of wildlife to watch from your private patio while you relax and enjoy a slower pace of life. For that extra piece of luxury, each cottage has a private hot tub, ideal for those hot summer days or cold winter nights. We also offer an outdoor play area for the children and an indoor games room with a pool table and table tennis table for everyone to enjoy. And just in case you need to do some washing we also have a shared laundry room for your convenience. The cottages are ideal for those big family get togethers, as in total we can accommodate 19 people, an extra 4 on sofa beds and also have cots and highchairs for those little ones. Based on a working farm, you will have plenty of opportunity to stretch your legs by walking along the many public footpaths in the surrounding area. ... more   less
