Popped in for some lunch. Had an amazing sharing fish platter sitting outside in the sunshine on a Scottish Island in early May. Staff so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend stopping off on way from ferry.

Recommended to visit by our B&B and it did not disappoint. We had spent the dad biking and walking on Jura and needed a good meal so the thought of an Indian buffet really appealed. The food was great with a vast selection of dishes all cooked to a good standard, not just meat with the sauce added, but properly...

Stopped here after a drive down to Port Askaig and a visit to the distilleries and pottery. Had to have the coffee in the bar area but it was a great coffee and served very hot. It is in an ideal location.

Our first visit to Ballygrant Inn where we ate in the bar, our only option. The bar was quiet and we sat at a table near the wood burning stove which was very welcome on a cold night. The barman was initially reserved but warmed up as the evening progressed. He was good at explaining the provenace of the food...

We visited here on 14th March and had a meal in the bar. The bar is really nice and there was a gorgeous log burner going. The whisky collection at the bar is amazing as was the food. Our meals were delicious and could not be faulted. Our starters were delicious but the mains were even better, scallops in a...

We stopped here for a meal prior to getting on the 8pm ferry from Port Askaig. Very glad we did and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Islay. We were warmly welcomed by Julie and Carole who looked after us for our last couple of hours on the island. The food was locally sourced, great quality...

We were taken here on the recommendation of our Taxi driver on our first night and were very glad he did. The selection of whiskys was amazing and varied with some very unusual bottlings. We ate here on a number of occasions and found the food superb and very good value for money. Ewan and his father couldn't have been...

Unfortunately the inn was not what we expected or saw on the website. Tiny room, shower at the end of the bed in the same room surrounded by carpet and a funny smell throughout the inn. The smell apparently emanates from the two dogs that are allowed free reign throughout the entire place including the guest areas. The room was...
