Stopped over at a camp site a short distance away and the Bathurst Arms was recommended. Found it to be a proper English pub with loads of character. Loved the food and the fact that there was numerous locals adding to the originality. Would highly recommend and if you want to visit an authentic English pub then this is the...

Hi richardhollywood, Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review, we like to think we have plenty of character (and characters!) also. We hope you enjoyed your stay in the Cotswolds and will see you next time you are in the area! Kind regards, Poppy Assistant Manager

I ordered a Pork Pie Ploughmans. When it finally arrived to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The centre of the meal should have been a lovely "Locally Sourced" homemade pork pie, as discribed on the menu, It was in fact one very tiny pork pie that looked like it came out of a six pack from the local...

We arrived the weekend that the Onion group took ownership and felt for them that 6 bookings arrived they had no knowledge of. So grateful they made big effort to accomodate us. Bedrooms lovley although no tv and we had to go out for an evening meal. Breakfast was lovley and they bent over backwards to ensure our weekend was...

Nothing worse than pulling into a car park packed with amazingly flash cars that tells us that the clientele are equally flash and probably Londoners with deep pockets and no taste!! The Bathurst Arms is not such a place and those lunching there were thoroughly nice and unpretentious people that mirrored the feeling we had during a super Lunch. Smacking...

having read recent reviews I went in trepidation but I needn't have worried as the pub has been taken over in the last 2 weeks by The Lucky Onion Group, a well know local Cheltenham group of stylish pubs and hotels, the service was very good, steak frites tasty and a great steak, served in the traditional bar and there...

Had a venison burger and it was FULL of bone. I didn't eat it. The burger buns are very budget too, and the ketchup and cutlery boxes are so naff. Pub itself needs some heating and an updated style, very unwelcoming decor. Also male staff were useless.

The Bathurst Arms has had a make over, it looked fabulous from the outside and stepping in it didn't disappoint. We stopped for a Saturday Pub Lunch, the weather outside was abysmal and they had a huge roaring fire. Such a welcoming pub, the ladies behind the bar were very friendly. We settled in with our two dogs and toddler....

I have been a regular visitor to The Bathurst Arms over the past few years, using this pretty pub as a base for visiting family. However, I'm afraid to say, I will not be staying there (or eating there) ever again. We had booked dinner for the evening of our arrival, but the menu for the restaurant bore no resemblance...

Had 2 nights here a few weeks ago. The pub itself is a lovely Cotswold stone building with plenty of seating areas. Good selection of beer, a couple of lagers and reasonable wine list (avoid the Chilean Merlot - the worst I've ever tasted!). The menu is incredibly limited with 5 starters and 5 mains - all very meat orientated....

My family and I stayed here for 1 night to attend a wedding a few miles away. The rooms were charming and clean. Typical cottage style rooms and the staff were friendly and helpful! Breakfast was also v. good with young staff very attentive. All in all, contributed to a lovely weekend!
