Gorgeous lodge perfectly situated between Tarangire and Ndutu. The bungalows are very clean and spacious, and overlook Lake Manyara. The food was spectacular and the staff were incredibly hospitable. Definitely recommend.

The location and view is excellent, the food is, by tanzanian standards, goid and even vegetarians won't starve. The staff is friendly but highly unprofessional: rooms and lounge are dirty, pool hasnt been maintained in forever, attentiveness is lacking. The whole place has a loveless feeling. There are zero decorations in the rooms, just to give an example.

The road here, as mentioned elsewhere, is bumpy and dusty, but passes by Masai villages and we saw lots of children herding goats and women collecting wood plus countless friendly children waving at us as we drove past. Cynthia and her staff gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel very at home. We had a spacious, simply furnished, clean and comfortable bungalow with a magnificent view towards the lake. We sat for a long time enjoying the sunset from the veranda. In the early evening we went for a short walk towards the lake and watched the Masai herdsmen bringing their huge herd of cattle home. On the way back we found a tree full of golden weaver birds building their nests. This lodge is wonderfully peaceful and yet there was always something to look at. The comfortable bar/restaurant is built around an ancient Baobab tree which is very impressive. The food is tasty and filling and we had a choice of menu. The staff are very attentive and extraordinarily friendly. We enjoyed talking to them about the area and local customs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to those who value peace and serenity.

Wish we'd known the long bumpy road we'd drive to get there. And the government protection on the land that we were expected to pay for before we could proceed at about $25/person. We didn't pay, they let us proceed, and the lodge said they'd pay. The place is well appointed, separate lodges, quiet, lovely dining room, view of Lake Manyara. WiFi in the dining area. Our room didn't have towels which we communicated at dinner, but by the time they were brought we were already showering, so slow on the urgent service. Appreciated they provided accommodations for our driver/guide so he didn't have to retrace the long bumpy road out. More info on the location would be helpful on the website.

I have stayed at Burudika Manyara Lodges several times. Its a favourite of mine as a serene place where you can absorb the natural surrounding and the culture of the Manyara area. It's not touristy, and I personally love the dry air and breezes. I also like the little town Mto wa Mbu about 5km. The staff couldn't be nicer, the recently built Bandas are simple, lovely and private with breathtaking views. The Bandas have zippered canvas netted windows yet not tents. Great feeling. I enjoy the lunch and dinners in the great Baobab dining room. The chef would happily cater to my dietary requirements. I could see how important it was to her that you were pleased and enjoyed her heartfelt cooking. Observing from my veranda in the distance the Maasai carry on with their herds, family chores washing clothes and gathering water that added a special glimpse of authentic culture one doesn't often see. The Lodge still has some construction to complete so not everything is perfect but for me I enjoy seeing the owners progress. There is now a swimming pool overlooking the vista - wonderful although when I visited it wasn't quite finished. Something to look forward to... Not once was it not peaceful.

Burudika Lodges are wonderfull! The room is very clean, has enough space, a good bed with mosquito net, a large bathroom and the balcony is around the hole lodge. The views are amazing on the lake and there are a lot of animals around the lodge. The staff is really nice and friendly! And you can eat tasty food in the restaurant, also with amazing views. Go to Burudika and all your dreams come true!

Cannot understand how anyone could not love this place. The lodges are simple but deliver everything you need including a hot shower, beautifully decorated bed and an amazing view from your own decked area. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food good enough. When you consider where these lodges are and what they have achieved with solar power only, it is outstanding. We went there to enjoy nature, not to sit staring at our phones on the WiFi. It was a wonderful experience that we feel lucky to have had.

We arrived late due to a breakdown of our vehicle and although we had phoned ahead, emailed and messaged to let them know our ETA and that we would require dinner the staff seemed surprised that we were there. They scrambled to provide us with a one course hot dinner which seemed to consist of the left overs (one small chicken leg and a few veggies is their idea of a meal for $20 per head) and then sent us to ours rooms. The rooms are large and well appointed with great views however as they charge per person a single safari tent style chalet is charged at the same cost as a two bedroom four person cottage. The rooms look brand new and even still have the little stickers on the fridges however they are sparsely furnished lacking all but the minimum you would expect, couple of chairs, table, empty fridge. Here are the issues with the rooms. No hot water even after we requested that this was fixed on the evening in the morning we were told that this was not possible. No towels in the rooms when requested the staff seemed very put out that we were interrupting their busy evening. Toilets not flushing this was the case in to of the four rooms that we took. In the morning to add to our poor experience we were told that although we were quoted a residents rate for the whole group (The booking was made by residents and in the request for a quote the nationalities and residency of all of us was made clear) we were told we had to pay non resident rates taking the bill from $280 up to $840. when we showed the staff the confirmation they couldn't care less and told us to call the boss who was surprisingly unavailable. Having a timetable to keep we were forced to pay and try to contact the manager later who was uninspired to provide any compensation. If you want to stay in this lovely area there are many lodges and accommodations available if you enjoy poor service at very high price but with nice views please choose Burudika Lodges, however there are equal views with much better service to suit all budgets in the area.

I arranged a group 7 people, family and friends to stay at Burudika Manyara on the 16th August 2019 for one night. It was an opportunity for us to stay at a nice lodge after being at Lake Natron for a couple of nights. We phoned earlier on the day of arrival that we would be late due to vehicle issues, but had requested dinner. We arrived at about 20h30, and at 21h00 had dinner. Only one course was offered to use and when asked if there was dessert, we were told that there was none. Upon checkout, we were charged full rate for a three course meal. I think it was $20, it was only once we complained that we did not receive a starter or mains that the rate was reduced. We all enjoyed the rooms, even though some rooms seem to be missing furniture, one chair at a dining table in a room that sleeps 4 people. Only one of the 4 rooms managed to get luke warm water during their stay. We turned the taps both way, let the water run for over 30 minutes, but there was no hot water. When staff members were called to assist, they shrugged their shoulders and said that there was no hot water. The towels that you have in the room are hand towels that are not large enough as a bath / shower towel. We paid a lot of money to stay here, and we all feel that we did not get what we paid for. I gave the management an opportunity to respond to our concerns above by emailing him directly, but he chose not to respond.
