Stayed 2 nights at the second floor of Villa James. We love the design of each room. Actually there are several villas that you can choose from. Each villa and room has its own design.
Staff were very attentive, started from the day we made the booking. Check-in and check-out process was super easy and fast.
The villa provides breakfast and evening snacks. There's also an all day dining menu that can be requested. Don't forget to try their floating breakfast and high tea by the river or simply ask the staff to set you a picnic basket to be enjoyed at one of their garden.
They grow their own vegetables and have their own water purerifying system, so yes, no pestiside and you can drink directly from the tap water.
Would love to stay here again whenever we have the chance.

Gone for a visit to a relative nearby, decided to stay because of its charming location. Its near Ubud, located right by a river, plenty of activities to choose such are rafting, bali swing, convertible VW tour.
The breakfast was already awesome, but the high tea by the river was truly one of the highlight.
Definitely will return!

Took us an hour from Bali harbor to the villa, the entrance is small and feeling a bit quirky. But once we are greeted and invited inside, the feeling changed very quickly. The villa is decorated with antiques and old fashioned wood beam/posts/flooring, which creates an immediate luxury feel. Staff are attentive, and definitely very helpful to whatever we need. The bathroom is beautiful and spacious. It has its own balcony and a huge drying rack. The most beautiful thing in this place is the morning wake up with the beautiful morning light, which you can slowly indulge yourself with floating breakfast in the pool while looking into the vast green jungle. The food variety is lacking, and sometimes quality is inconsistent. I hope this will improve soon. Though this isn't bothering us, but the villa is secluded, it can be problematic...
Overall, we had great stay here at the villa, took great photos, and will definitely recommend for couples looking for honey moon or quiet place to enjoy and photo shoot.

Bale Tudor is definitely my favorite location in Ubud. Friendly staffs, good food, and overall a very cozy place to stay. If you're looking for a place to chillax surrounded by nature, this is a place to be. You can feel the warmth of the sun in the morning and the cool air at night. And you can drink the tap water, which is super convenient.
Ask the reception for more info about activities in the area, there are lots to do there.

I came here with my family in May. We were originally planning on staying in Ubud area for just 2 days, but after seeing Bale Tudor we ended up extending for an additional 3 days. This amazing gem is located a 20 minute drive from Ubud central, right on the Ayung river. The villas are each unique in their own style, and there are plenty of outdoor areas to explore. The main villa, called 'Tudor House' is a beautiful Tudor mansion complete with 1600-period-style tapestry and a suit of armour!
The surrounding area has plenty of activities to keep you busy during your stay. We visited Bali Swing (walking distance from house), rode ATVs (5 min car ride), and did white water rafting (15 min car ride). A cool feature of white water rafting was that we got off right at the house!
The pretty views and amazing interiors aside, the best part of our stay was actually the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. They were so attentive and helpful with suggesting things to do. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a homey place to stay in Bali.

Stayed here for a week and I got nothing bad to say about this place. Great weather, beautiful outdoor area and also the variety of scrumptious meals. Planning to come back and bring some of my folks here on the holidays and I'm 100% very sure they'll love it here!
