Me, my wife and our 4 year old son, we had the best holidays ever. The sand was white. The sea was crystal clear and a truly unique island. Snorkeling was amazing and just off the beach. We swam and snorkellled with "Nemos", rays, sharks, turtles and every type of fish you can ever think of. My son spent hours...

Just returned from our second trip to Fihalhohi in four years. We really enjoyed the food, which seems to have improved from our last visit. The drinks are expensive-$5 for a beer, $6 for a non alcoholic cocktail and $9 for an alcoholic cocktail, but that was no surprise. Despite the fact that we had some rain in our fortnight...

Just returned from our 3rd vsit and felt I had to write after reading the bad reviews on the forum. We have previously visited Meeru and Kuredu so have something to compare it to, Before we went we were very concerned about the reports of salmonella as I suffer from IBS and my husband has a weak immune system caused...

Our 2nd visit – definitely not our last. This was our 3rd visit to the Maldives, the first being to Kuredu & twice to Fihalhohi. Our 2nd visit to Fiha didn’t disappoint at all & we’re looking at booking again for next year. When we booked this island for our first visit 2 years ago we’d sampled a 4/5* resort...

We went to Fihalhohi 22nd Sept 2008 – Apologies for this being such a late review!!! But hopefully I’ve covered lots of important stuff, so maybe you’ll forgive me? We booked with First Choice, through their local operator in Lincoln, who was great. Although the flight from Gatwick wasn’t until Sunday evening, we decided to travel down the day before...

Fihalhohi was actually our dream island. First trip was in 2000. We loved it so much we went back a few years ago. We went this year to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary. We won’t be back – such a disappointment. First, I must say the staff were very good, except for the management. I provided a polite list of...

Full marks to our rep Zeta who was very helpful, although she didn’t visit the island in person for the four weeks we were there she did make contact most days when I was ill and helped out with additional medication, more than can be said for the management who did not even offer free water to combat dehydration. For...

I have been surprised to read some of the recent negative reviews regarding Fihalhohi and in particular the concerns over hygiene. Myself and my partner spent a wonderful two weeks on the island and I have to say that for the amount we paid for the holiday we were extremely pleased. Both of us ate a variety of different foods...

Fihalhohi is a great little island with a reef that is fabulous so snorkelling is a wonderful experience as there are rays, sharks and every type of fish you can imagine living all within easy reach. The staff were lovely, nothing was ever too much trouble and they all seemed to work very hard and long hours. The entertainment was...
