Clam, relaxed and luxurious paradise just 40min away from the airport. Service was extremely polite and friendly, we even had direct WhatsApp contact with a personal organiser (Kencho) that was all the time checking that we were perfectly happy with everything as well as booking restaurants for us (she was great). Real luxury feeling. Food was so good it was difficult to decide what and where to eat everyday. Activities outside of the all-inclusive pack were in the high end of cost but worth it (e.g motor sports pack circa 400$) We will come back.
From a grand welcome upon arrival to a warm farewell it was all so touching! We are so glad that we chose to stay at Coco Bodu Hithi. From waiters to housekeeping staff - all radiated so much warmth and a very special mention of Ms.Reema here whose hospitality cannot be put in words! Spread at Buffet is vast .. Property is well maintained. There is so much of scenic beauty around .. truly heavenly! Have no second thoughts.. have a lifetime of magical experience at COCO BODU HITHI
When one comes back from an exotic holiday, one remembers places. When my family and I came back from Coco Bodu Hithi, we remembered the people. People like Misbah. Humayun. Jalil. Husaan. These four three and countless others made our stay so memorable and warm, that I have no words to express my gratitude. They were always there with a smile to fulfil our wishes with a smile. And even if they couldn’t, they still said it with a smile. I am a pretty frequent traveller, but I’ve never felt such warmth ever. The first impression I live in one of the most crowded cities in the world, perched right on the Arabian Sea. I am a frequent traveller to beaches across the world. And yet, my first impression of Coco Bodu Hithi was one of stunned wonder. How could such a beautiful place even exist? The water on the house reef was transparent. The sand on the beach was like talcum powder. Little crabs scurried across the sand making trails. A tortoise went swimming lazily past. A electric ray went in and out of the coral reefs. And the water was a shade of blue I’d never seen before. It’s as if God himself had descended. The accommodation: We stayed for three nights on a beach villa. And three nights in a water villa. The beach villa was humongous. It had a private plunge pool at the back with a wooden deck. The room was an immense hall with a living area, an indoor bath tub large enough for two, wash rooms and storage areas. One side of the villa opened out to the beach – a very, very private beach. Since it was my 50th birthday, the hotel welcomed me with bottle of sparkling wine which was a lovely gesture in itself. Basically, the biggest decision in life was to figure out whether to have champagne lazing on the deck chair on a white sandy beach. Or having it while inside the bathtub. Or while inside the plunge pool. Tough decisions all. After three nights, we moved to a water villa. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade our water villa to a higher one. But let me warn you, we went during low tourist season. So the resort was 60% occupied only. Which is why, they could accede to our request. The villas felt like someone had constructed a paradise on stilts. There’s something really surreal about listening to the sounds of water when you are sleeping. Like the beach villa, the water villa had ample places to take a shower. A double bath-tub. An outdoor plunge pool. An outdoor shower. Or the traditional shower stall. And if you didn’t like any of these, then you could always climb down from the villa straight into the Indian Ocean for a dip. Be warned however, the currents are strong. While we did see some people plunge into the reef straight from the villa, they seemed like expert swimmers to me. The only issue about staying in The Residences (their upper end version of the water villas) was, it was a bit far from the dining area. So, one has to walk a bit. However they do have buggies at the halfway point. The food: Guest can opt for a full board (breakfast-lunch-dinner) or a half board (Breakfast + one lunch/dinner) The spread was stupendous. There were different themes every day. One day, was traditional Maldivian spread. One day was American street food. Another day was Mediterranean. SE Asian food was midweek. And the amount of food there was too much. We even got dumplings which was not on the buffet. There’s something magical about sitting under a starlit sky with a glass of wine. By the way, alcohol is expensive and you have to buy from the hotel. No, you cannot buy from duty-free and take it to the resort. Water sports: If you love water sports, then you won’t get bored. There’s snorkelling, canoeing, surfing, para-sailing and much more. There’s a separate diving centre who will gladly take you into the middle of the ocean for a dive. We went snorkelling and saw a tortoise and several shoals of fish up close, swimming with us. My only regret is, I didn’t have a GoPro camera with me. Bottomline: I recommend Coco Bodu Hithi for two reasons. 1. They have one of the biggest house reefs in North Male. 2. They are genuinely very welcoming and warm.…
Nice place.I stayed two nights at the beach villa , i was amazing , highly recommended. Two nights at water villa it was good but recommend the escape water villa is better. The restaurant-and the food was good and delicious. The stuff was very respectful and nice mainly yassin was our guid he is very nice.
Let me start with the first when we arrived we meet Yaseen our host he does our check in and escort to the villa and our villa was so good as in the picture and we had good time here . And the island is very beautiful we suggest all the honeymooners to visit coco Buduhithi and at the last I want to thank Yaseen that he make our honeymoon very special and he take a good care of us . I hope to see you soon
We travelled to Coco Bodu Hithi in January 2022 for our 'Dream Honeymoon' but unfortunately it was everything but...we arrived at the island in the morning around 09:00. First impressions of the resort were not great, after checking in we were told that we could store our luggage and get changed in what was described as a 'Guest Arrival/Departure Lounge' until our room was ready at 14:00. The area and the rooms were dirty and had a horrible smell. There was also no safe storage for our luggage to be locked away. We headed over to the main pool area, which was a massive health & safety hazard. The majority of the decking was worn, tired & broken, the tiles surrounding the pool were also broken, my partner ripped his shorts and cut his leg getting into the pool! 14:00 came around and we still hadn't received any communication regarding our room, a little before 16:00 we received a message to say our room was ready. After nearly 24hours of travel and little sleep we couldn't wait to relax before dinner. We booked to stay in an Island Villa with Pool and the disappointment continued from there, broken decking again around the pool which my husband’s foot went through, broken tiles, dirty pool water, outside shower was just an old drainpipe, broken electrics and sockets hanging off the wall. The welcome fruit platter which was provided was covered in flies and had clearly been left there a long time. We reported the problems to the hotel and to our Kuoni rep, and in the hotels defence the hotel manager did come and see us that evening and the following morning. They did get us a new room sorted and we moved to another room on the 2nd day which was better but still not to the standard we would expect from a 5* resort. We were advised by our Kuoni travel agent to book all inclusive, having never been to the Maldives before we took their advice, however the all-inclusive options are very limited, all the a la carte restaurant menus were massively reduced and alcoholic drinks were limited (no premium brands), had we had known this we wouldn't have bothered as we found ourselves paying for food and drinks which we enjoyed. You get two big bottles of water in your room daily, however if you would like any more you have to pay around $20 for two bottles. We asked for a late check out on our last day as our boat to the mainland wasn't until 18:00, we paid a fee around $250 for late checkout however the hotel failed to mention that all-inclusive stopped at 12:00 on the day of departure regardless of late check out, again further expense for food and drink. The only positive from this holiday is that the island is absolutely stunning! Beautiful greenery, flowers, and golden sands, I have never been anywhere where the ocean is so warm, it is like stepping into a bath. We contacted our Kuoni rep back in Sheffield, who told us he would investigate however this was the last communication we have had. Very disappointing considering the amount of money we had spent with Kuoni booking the honeymoon. Overall a very disappointing and upsetting experience, we would love to return to the Maldives but we would not return or recommend this resort.…
Absolutely stunning place, we stayed at both the island villa and the ocean water villa. Coco Bodu is about 30 minutes by speedboat from Velena international airport; 1. Everything was arranged for us right from the transfer from the airport to the island. 2. Shifa (Fenty) took care of us while we were on the island, she arranged all the occasions for me, right from Engagement to Water sports to Dinner and Photoshoots. Highly recommended if you come to Coco, she will take great care to make your stay as comfortable as possible 3. The resort itself has every facility that you could dream of and snorkeling everyday early in the morning during low tide is a must. 4. There's plenty of different restaurants to eat from and they have varied selection of dishes and cuisines to choose from. Their breakfast arrangement is superb. 5. We were blessed with great weather just before the start of the wet monsoon season, December to June are probably the best times to visit.…
It was a very beautiful island and the staff was very nice , the villa was also beautiful and clean, if you like to relax or to do water sports/swimming then everything you need for vacation is there , food was good . zayan , our guide was very helpful and try his best to arrange anything we want and help us alot.
Everything was wonderful for us. Ocean villa was the perfect room because of view and swimming in privacy. However Kencho, the lady who took care of us, made our holiday more comfortable and beautiful. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for their kind hospitality.
Booked Coco at the last minute . Was reading up on many others but wasn’t what I was looking for. I managed to contact Tenzin , the assistant manager via WhatsApp and he made prompt arrangements for me one day ahead. Very thankful for that. The waters surrounding CBH, absolutely beautiful. The entire feel of the island was surreal paradise . Yaseen who was tagged to my room was prompt in his services too! Thank you for the great time also at the Residence. I will be back ! And also I loved the rustic charms of CBH & will miss the food of the great cooks! Though just spending a day there , the well trained personnel just made my stay more than comfortable !
