We travelled with Marks Travel and were a bit dubious beforehand as it seemed very good value at £750 each all inclusive 1 week, and some reviews mentioned the refurbishment needed, and dark restaurant. We found the bedroom to be spotlessly clean, the bathroom was dated, but was also very clean, shower was fine. Restaurant is dark, but it fits...

What a beautiful, unspoilt island. We really hope that the owners resist the temptation to 'upgrade' it to a 5 star resort . Where else could you have dinner on the beach under a palm tree at a table strewn with flowers and lit by candles , served by your own waiter and with nobody else there! Lovely relaxed atmosphere...

We booked through Marks Travel and got a week All Inclusive for my wife and myself for £1800 (which we thought was good). I had read all the reviews so I thought I knew what to expect but was actually pleasantly surprised. We have both been travelling and have staying in shacks on the beach that cost a £1 a...

I spent 5 nights in Biyadhoo. I booked it from Hungary through an Indian travel agency with the wish it be cheap. The rooms are simple with no TV etc. but I spend most of the time on the beach and in the water. Actually there is not much else to do but that's what I went there for:) The...

Just returned from a week on Biyadoo. Rooms very very basic and in dire need of refurbishment, BUT they are adequate and clean. Sheets and towells changed every day. Shower a bit of a dribble and hairdryer about as good as a strong breeze! A week was enough as there is absolutely nothing to do except sit in the bar...

Hi, This was our first time to The Maldives, and it won't be our last. We took a risk on visiting during the `rainy season` but our experience wouldn't put me off going this time of year again. During the 14 night stay we had a total of 3 days rain, (at times very stormy), but when it wasn't raining...

If you want a bustling nightlife, or lots of daytime activities to keep you occupied then Biyadhoo Island Resort is not the place for you. It's a small island with beautifull beaches, warm waters and offers it's guests the option to do the usual water activities, has a Spa and offers a few other excursions, but that's it. For the...

Stayed for 2 weeks in May, after booking a Kuoni Holiday through Mark's Travel. The discounted price was the key to booking the all inclusive holiday. Always fancied the Maldives, but it was usually too expensive, but the deals are out there just now !! The resort was exactly as most other reviewers had written - the accommodation is simple,...

Have just returned from the island. I have travelled extensively and was nervous about taking a budget holiday- thoroughly enjoyed it. I agree that Biyadhoo is not a luxury holiday, but found that the accommodation was more than adequate for sleeping and showering as the rest of the time was spent at the bar or on the beach. Rowan (the...

Biyadoo is "exactly what it says on the tin"- a no frills island with a good house reef where you will experience total relaxation- mainly because there is nothing to do but snorkel & sunbathe. There is a lot of flaura & forna on the island. The mozzies were quite fierce & seemed to ignore any repellant. Our first room...
