Stayed for two nights last week whilst on business. Rooms was modern and clean, view was great across the valley and no problem parking. The hospitality was absolutely superb, with nothing too much trouble at a level that's rarely seen. Food was great and whilst wifi wasn't available in the room, it was available in the bar area without any...

3 course valentines meal with a bottle of wine included £35 for two. The food was delicious the steak was so tender and cooked to perfection and as for the salted caramel cup for dessert well all I can say is OMG . We had only eaten there once before for breakfast which was also very good, so thought we...

We stayed at the Afan lodge in the Richard button room. I have absolutely no complaints about the experience! The room was lovely and comfortable with loads of Richard Burton books and photos. The view from the room was breath taking! We only stayed for one night but every single member of staff was incredibly polite and helpful! They were...

Absolutely appalling meal tonight!!! Ruined my birthday. Chips were undercooked and brown from being left to the air and the gravy was so congealed it was like a paste and had obviously been sat there all day. When we complained the waiters attitude was absolutely disgusting and he only conceded to give 10% off the entire bill (which included drinks)...

A friend and I visited Afan for the first time. We chose Afan lodge due to the location between the 2 trail centres. The lodge catered very well for mountain bikers with an experienced guide a breakfast to help you in choosing a trail to ride. We used the restaurant too, the food was very good and excellent service.

Myself and a group of five fellow mountain bikers stayed here for two nights. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, to the point where, one of our group got his breakfast taken up to him in bed ( Because of a injury he had sustained on a night ride ) The service we got was top notch. The...

I had a days guiding with ben at Afan Valley Bike Shed and he recommended the Afan Lodge. I like to be balanced in reviews on the site but i'm really struggling to say anything bad or even neutral! The Lodge isn't luxury but it's clean, warm and cosy. Communication was excellent - i'd left a message with a couple...

We booked for Sunday lunch in advance as recommended by friends. Afan Lodge is set in the Afan Valley with beautiful scenery and stunning surroundings. The food was lovely and good value for the standard of quality of food. Thank you, we shall hopefully be seeing you again in the near future.

After arriving at the front door, we were instructed to come around the rear and enter the hotel via the bar and restaurant. The 2 young ladies that greeted us were polite, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The room (No2) was a bit tired ie could have done with a make over and one of the single beds...
