Once and a while during traveling, you stumble a cross a wonderful place that (if you leave) you will store the memories from it close to your heart. This is one of them. After long hicks in several places in the south of Patagonia, we wanted a place to relax and recuperate. Seeing this hostel as a recommendation in the...

We loved this hostel! It's a hostel that makes you feel like home. With a great garden, a river to swim in, a good restaurant next door, home made Bread and beer, yoga in the morning and the best staff i ever met. So kind and helpfull and have a great vibe. With great people that work here and owners...

If you travel Ruta 40 you will meet other travellers who have stayed at La Casona and they will all tell you that you have to stay here. Listen to them! From the lush green surrounds to the organic breakfast, the fast wifi, huge kitchen, home brewed beer and helpful staff, there is terrific attention to detail. The guests we...

La Casona de Odile is a very corzy and quite place and the people who run this place are lovely, always willing to advise and the breakfast is delicious with all organic and local products. The only drawback is that you need to get the bus "Lujarcito" or to walk some kilometres from the centre of the Bolson.

Casona de Odile is truly the most amazing place! The river, beautiful surroundings, hammocks, friendly dogs, are only a few of the amazing things at the hostel. The staff were absolutely wonderful, really treating everyone like family and making everyone feel at home. Honestly, if I did t have to go home in five days I'd be staying at the...

After staying one time we missed it so much that we had to come back. The place is just magical. After traveling a while it's great to get to a place that feels like home. It attracts the kind of people you want to meet while traveling. Siting in front of the fireplace drinking homemade beer, is a memory I...

Se siente como tu casa, así de simple. Todo mundo te sonríe, te saluda, y está dispuesto a charlar. It feels like home, just like that. Everyone smiles, says hi, and is more than glad to have a talk with you.

La Casona de Odile lives up to the hype. It is a place you can settle into and soon a few days becomes a week. The space is incredibly homey and comfortable. In the evenings a fireplace and good conversation greets you and during the day, should you chose to stay on premises (as many do) hammocks and garden lounging...

Without doubt the best hostel stay I've ever stayed in, I've stayed a a few too! The Xavi and Marcel look after you like family, and the place has a magic energy you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Yoga every morning was like Utopia. Dedicate at least 3 nights for this place, if not 2 weeks! I could live...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
How many times in your travels have you found yourself imagining the ideal place to rest your weary bones; a place that speaks the language of the merry traveler, understands the beauty of small comforts, and shares with you this same dream of the ideal place for any traveler. Can you imagine a paradisiacal park intertwined with winding canals that open into sparkling ponds connected by Monet-like bridges? Imagine a breathtaking backdrop of lavender plantations, hundreds of native and exotic trees, the river Quemquemtreu babbling by, and the majestic presence of the Andean Mountains looming above on all sides. If you can imagine all of this, imagine in it's midst a beautiful wooden house, the vision of an artist, with it's open, inviting spaces, grand fireplace and wood-burning stoves, the solarium opening up to the expansive garden, and with it's dormitories and double rooms that offer the comfort and tranquility you have been longing for in your journey. Imagine now waking in the peacefulness of this place and rising to a breakfast of homemade breads and jams. Or returning from one of El Bolson's many lovely hikes on a warm summer's day to share an artisanal beer in the garden with the other guests. Then come evening, imagine a delicious homemade meal, a pizza, a picada, or feeling at home in the fully equipped kitchen where you can whip up your own magic. If you can envision all of this, then you share our grand vision of what makes a hostel truly unique, and the dream made reality that awaits you here in Patagonia. ... more   less
