I visited Rah Bagh Resort couple of days back with my Parents. I wanted to make this trip a memorable one as it was my mother's birthday and we wanted to just come out of our homes and all other worldly responsibilities and enjoy Kashmir and it's beauty. I was sceptical from the pictures of the resort regarding walking distance from room to dining area etc considering my parents are old and have knee pain and the resort looked huge!! But while booking, Mr Gowher Rah helped me choose the right suite room and pacified me with all relevant details, which gave me the confidence to book in this resort.
The resort is extremely beautiful, tastefully designed with landscapes of beauty surrounded. It is definitely away from the city , which is exactly what we wanted as we didn't want to be disturbed with the city hustle bustle. The location is quaint and serene and the views from the Garden Suite is beautiful, facing the mountains. They have in house apple orchards as well which is such a beautiful sight!
The Garden Suite is spacious enough for large families, the washroom has a Jacuzzi which was a great experience. Although the shower of the jacuzzi was not working. The suite had an extension towards a garden which you can use for your evening tea / coffees and walks. Pool was well maintained and clean with beautiful sunset views. Bed was comfortable, linen was very clean and fresh. Room amenities were good quality.
Aqib from the front desk is a great asset to Rah Bagh. He went out of the way to ensure we had a perfect stay .. Farooq from the restaurant/ IRD gave us a great fine dining experience. He enjoyed interacting with us as much as we did ! Umar from Housekeeping would always be available at our call with a big smile on his face. Sri our driver cum guide was great and ensured our local sightseeing is well taken care of.
The day i reached Srinagar i somehow felt sick and all these staff members went out of the way in making our stay so comfortable. Very courteous, well mannered and hospitable staff at Rah Bagh, which is the key to success for any hotel / resort.
Food was very tasty and delectable. Buffet had decent to good options in Breakfast and Dinner, however most of the days we had a set menu due to low occupancies but it was well managed.
My overall stay at Rah Bagh was a great one. We have already planned our next trip to Kashmir in Nov /Dec and will be staying at Rah Bagh again..

We had a lovely stay in Rah Bagh, Srinagar. We were a family of 9 including aged parents and toddlers and we stayed 5 nights in cold February. The location is off the beaten track so to and fro to sight seeing locations from the hotel requires a bit of extra travel. The flip side of that is that it's in a serene idyllic location surrounded by Zarawan mountains. You do not hear any of the city noise making for a peaceful stay with family.
The service is a full 5 star level. Our experience from the booking, check-in was very pleasant and the housekeeping and the restaurant staff take complete care of you remembering your preferences. Thank you Tanveer, Faroakh, Hilal, Sohail and Sireesh for an amazing stay!

I recently stayed at Rah Bagh Hotel in Kashmir for a marathon, and it was the perfect choice! The luxury and comfort were top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, always going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Service was impeccable, and the rooms were both comfortable and beautifully relaxing – ideal after a long race. This was hands down the best stay I’ve had in a long time. The Rah bagh Resort and Spa provided us with such a wonderful experience for a long overdue vacation. Upon arrival we were greeted with such a welcoming gentleman who suggested us all the best places and things to do along with bringing such great energy to every interaction. The rest of the staff were all just as wonderful to interact with. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. My Husband and I stayed at Rah Bagh from the 5th to the 11 th February 2024 when visiting Sri Nagar. This is a beautiful hotel with outstanding views of the mountains . From Our room we were able to see the Sunrise every morning and the mountains appearing from the mist. Every evening we could see the beautiful sunset . This sight initself was breath taking. Moving onto the atmosphere all around the hotel .This is a very clean , well maintained hotel with lovely surroundings and natural beauty. All the staff are very warm and helpful. We felt very welcome by everyone we encountered . All the staff were available at all times to make our stay memorable. The rooms were very clean. Our visit was during the cold period and the heating system was just perfect .We did not get cold during the day or night. Moving onto the Dinning room . All the staff in the dinning area looked after all our needs and served us with a lot of warmth and pleasure. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of the staff. In fact They could not do enough for us. The vegetarian chef has been blessed with magic in his hands. We were served with the most delicious ,mouth watering , food everyday. In fact We have never eaten such delicious Chinese food before. All the staff in the hotel have made this a very memorable time for us Kashmir . It is our wish to visit Sri Nagar in a couple of years during the summer months . At that time we will definitely be staying in Rah Bagh again.

Recommended by a dear friend, Rah was one of the best decisions we made during our first ever trip to Kashmir. My conversations with Gowher (the CEO) before the travel were supremely helpful, warm and accommodating. Not only did he book the finest Royal Attic Suite for us, he gave us excellent recommendations for other destinations within kashmir too. Our intra city travel too was booked through him and Aqib who were prompt with their responses and gave us the best driver / guide, Sri Bhagwan bhaiya. We had the most eventful and thrilling seven days at the paradise called Kashmir thanks to Sri bhaiya.
Talking about the resort in particular, our room was a delight with slanting wooden roofs, a huge bath, an exclusive sitting area which was enchanting for our two kids, and a superb view of the Dal. Mornings began with birds singing and soulful music playing through the expanse of the resort which was studded with apple and walnut trees. The food prepared carefully under the able leadership of Chef Sujeet was magnificent. He even prepared the most exquisite trout fish I have ever had on a special request. The location of the resort was of my preference since it was away from the hustle bustle of the town (and hardly a ten minute drive) and thus offered the kind of peace I look for during a vacation. All in all, a five star and a memorable experience at Rah Bagh !!

Goes above and beyond to make your stay very comfortable Great size rooms and very scenic Restaurant staff are amazing and catered for some vegans in the party Checkin was seamless - asked us what rooms we preferred. Best hotel with best view Dal lake view and valley view . Hotel is bit far from srinagar but isvthe best . Staff is very helpful and co operative especially front desk mehnaz and her team muneer, Musharraf and salad were very helpful and friendly . Gardens are very beautiful and elgnt.
