I had never stayed in a hostel before, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very clean place, has a wonderfully fun decor, fresh bread and eggs up for grabs, and all other funky features like band aids and toothbrushes -
It was quite amazing for a novice like me!
The rooms are small and basic: our had one bunk set and one single. I found the mattress a little thin, but gents didn’t complain. The lounge area is compact, but was good for engaging with other travelers. It’s not the place to have late night fun though, as sound carries a little.
The host was a bit cold, but no matter really.

Booked a private room for 3 pax with an amazing view of Fujisan. My friends and I were impressed with the hostel - it was super clean and equipped with a whole range of amenities beyond the basics such as facial tissue, tooth brush, tooth paste, free flow of boiled eggs, home made bread, calbee granola etc. There are guidebooks with recommendation of nearby eateries, restaurant and recommended places of interest for our reference.
Even though I did not get a chance to interact with the owner, I could feel the sincerity and passion of the owner in running the hostel and his desire to provide the best experience for his customers simply through the decoration of the whole hostel - from the little ninja stickers on the wall, flowers decorated tissue box to the little touch of leaving a paper crane on each bed etc - all these makes the hostel a very cosy place to stay in. I have no qualms but praises for the hostel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

A crazy over priced basic hostal thats charging hotel prices, it was the only avalible space in town and wow did the owner take advantage of our situation.
As hostels go this is a nice place to stay and we enjoyed the atmosphere and fellow traveller conversatoons, but at the end of the day you are sleeping in a hostal with shared bathing and toilet facilities.
The room was very basic but 100% clean, AC never really worked. Showers had plenty of hot water, and much to our amusement an automatic raising toilet lid.
If you could stay here at a reasonable price its comfortable clean hostal.

I arrived late and just informed the reception around 10.30 PM via email (I didn't buy phone plan). Pretty much hopeless since the reception should be closed at 9 PM, and surprised they put sign in door to tell me door code (in english). And they left the room key in reception.
Room is cute and paper crane in each bed to welcome us. Toilet also clean and high tech, it will welcome you with turning on the light and open the lid once you stepped in.
Ojisan in reception is amiable. Also he gave me candy upon check out.
They provide simple breakfast, cereal and milk. But the cereal was surprisingly great! On second day another guest proceed to gulp all content in packaging once she discovered how good it was, and left us with nothing.

The man in reception can speak english; he rarely smile, thus we feel a bit cold.
No restroom in room but the toilet is very modern, all is automatic. The best I experienced in 10 days in Japan.
just 3 minutes walk to Fujisan station and there're very nice sushi restaurant around.

We only stayed for one night but the hostel left a great impression. Nice, big showers. Comfy beds. Great location. Delicious homemade bread as well as other foods and drinks for free. Staff were really friendly too. Would definitely stay again if I returned to the area and would recommend to any friends travelling here.

Home made bread available day and night... boiled eggs coffee, tea etc.. clean comfortable room, well heated.
Close to train station and near good restaurants and sites. Very friendly and comfortable. Host is knowledgeable and very friendly. Little touches like, sewing kit, nail clippers available on display for guests.. I especially like the personal combination locks on each room. The automatic toilet was amusing.. my only complaint wasn’t with the hostel but a few annoying guest.. however once in my room it was quiet and safe.

Clean and well kept hostel. Beds were comfortable. This was among the pricier hostels I stayed at in Japan, but breakfast with homemade bread, boiled eggs, cereal, jam etc. was included, wich is very nice.
Hostel is located a 5-10 minute walk from Fujisan station.
They offer overnight luggage storage if you're climbing Fujisan.
